I'm I'm not denying that Post-Abyssea FFXi has issues. I'm just bemused by the fact that people want to go back to how FFXI was before Abyssea.

I will say that I find one thing refreshing about Seekers of Adoulin. I do enjoy going back to a time now where the sky is blue and everybody is not an atma demi-God. Hell, I'm walking around the grounds and there are actually dead people sometimes! That need Raise!

Never really understood why you need to see the mob do the attack if you're just going to eat its soul anyway.

A tip if you have yet to learn Bloodrake: Don't go to learn it during a full moon. That seems to allow them to use Wings of Gehenna. Didn't see it at all before the full moon, anyway. They already hate to use Bloodrake as it is without adding another move to the mix. I was there or literally like five hours, saw hundreds of tp moves, and only saw Bloodrake 5 times. (One of which I stunned ><)

I was there for two hours last night and only one used it. I eventually got it against the weaker mobs in Xarcabard... after another two hours.

Sounds like Bloodrake will be a super fun happy spell to learn.

Peeve: Adventuring Fellow MP managment.

Unforunately, there's no real way to make your Adventuring fellow manage their MP wisely. I set mine to Soothing Healer when I left to level her up earlier. She imediately cast Protect V, Shell V and Haste on me... which was cool. But she then cast Haste on herself... dia on the bat we were fighting (that was at 2%) and then a barrage of Paralyze on the next bat... all of which failed to land. She was out of MP on the 3rd mob without any form of refresh. If i wanted to get her MP back, my options were Heal and let her rest up, wait for her to level up and get it all back instantly... or dismiss her and re-summon her... wasting a charge on one of my 2 earrings. None of those options are appealing.

Anyone know of a way to make her manage more effectively? Or at least a way to give her Refresh? Will book buffs carry over to her? If not... It's Fierce Attacker from now on... with a good sword.

It's pretty much always been that way. I was getting annoyed with mine so I set her to attacker. I really only used her while farming, so it wasn't like the mobs were likely to kill me.

Mine uses an Axe.

Also . . . Fierce Attacker is the only "advanced" style I have experience with, so I don't know what to tell you. In all honesty, it's probably the most compatible with the rather simple Adventuring Fellow AI.

You can give her Refresh via buffs...

...

...which of course probably means you're on a job that doesn't need a Soothing Healer.
