I got turned down from Turul hunting because I don't have BST.

The guy organizing the run was also BST.

Because Turul is so bad-ass that it takes a full blown pet burn to take him down.

That’s kinda shitty. Especially since all you need is a decent DD and Whm…like most stuff there.

We would pull him to a wall because of his knockback wind thingy and just turn during his Spikes. Only annoyance we had was when we couldn’t proc blue. It was either kill and pray for Loki or conflux and risk it getting stolen.

But yea…not sure why a pet group would turn down a RDM (I assume?). We used to always welcome RDMs and CORs in our pet fights.

Reminds me of a couple weeks ago when I was trying to join a VW run on Bst. Told the guy I had relic bst, pretty well geared blah blah blah. Kept saying no. Finally I gave in and told him I could WHM (I really wanted the KI). So I get there and there’s already 2 Bsts in the party…fully decked out in Pearl, old axes (like 75 day axes) and jugs I haven’t seen since I was a little boy.

After the fight I confronted him about it, turns out it was his girlfriend and her mule.

My tale had a happy ending at least. Well, it's more like a spiteful ending. The guy's Turul hunting totally fell apart about 15 minutes after he turned me down. That'll teach him to not take along the Red Mage.

Why would a BST party refuse anybody? BST's weapon selection is pretty horribad if what you're going for is blue...or red...or any color really.

Bst/War gets half the Reds
Can probably get various blue’s also depending on what you sub.

But as previously stated…you don’t really need a pet group for Turul.
You don’t really need a pet group for anything (save WoE). I guess people do it that way because it’s safer with higher success rate of winning.

Is anyone else having issues downloading the update or logging in?

I keep getting the ‘network busy or cables not properly connected’ error. Which I generally get when I’m having internet issues…but I’m not having other internet issues.

Yeah same here network congestion at moment, has been since 11am today (its now 7:45pm) gonna have to wait till tomorrow at this rate. I;ve never known it to be this congested what changed? And also I am dying to start as apparently I can get my lvl 50-55 quest parts in pieces by clicking ???'s which means I can sneak, invis around garlidge to finish the quest.
