The old way and leeching are at opposite ends of the levelling spectrum, there is other ways to do it (Book Burns, FoV pages with a solo or duo or trio, Lowman GoV pages because there is quite a few GoV places that aren't used). It's not a contradiction to be both against the old way and leeching.

In other news: saevel needs to crawl into a hole and die. The dude just calls everyone a troll if they don't agree with him and tells everyone to blacklist them like he does.

I see your Saevel now and raise you a ManaKing. He is like a less evolved forum poster version of Saevel. There is an additional element of irritation to reading his posts I can't quite pinpoint.

The gear selection for PUP is truly horrendous. I know levelling up is fast nowadays and I won't be in anything for long, but something other than mage gear would be nice.

I dunno about you Tak, but I spent most of my time in parties silently cursing the fact that 4 of the five other people in them were super gimp or just plain retarded. Most of the /party chat came from stupid macros.

Whenever I have played the game, and got into a party, most of the time I had no issues with them. I usually started up a conversation about something, and people would start talking.

Hell, I had a 5 hour conversation on sporks alone one time. lol

I'm on Valefor as well and more often than not you end of soloing low lvl jobs while burning through FoV or GoV pages. It's pretty rare to get in a group like the old days, or even GoV groups, but there are other options then the stand around "leech" parties that are shouted for all the time in Jeuno. And if someone wants to lvl in abyssea at 30 in my parties I don't care as long as they do something useful. Open boxes and you get an A in my book, but stand around you get the boot.

Well, once more I seem to be stuck in a Phalanx-less rut. I have two Star Orbs left, and school and LFE (Looking For Employment) this week is going to eat whatever time I have left, so it's somewhat doubtful that I'll even get to use them any time soon.
