Before I guess, seeing as how the party leader thought it would be a good idea to head to the lake while it was still nightfall.

Each trip there gets progressively worse, I swear. Party leader decided to do a mana burn, at level 18. So we have 1 WHM, 3 BLM, 1 SCH, 1 WAR running around pounding on worms. Except that we really only had 3 BLM because one of them would always end the fight with full mp. We dropped him somewhere along the way, sadly someone came by and raised his afk taru corpse before he was forced to HP. Then night fell and someone died, it may have been to a worm, I don't really remember because I warped out of there once shit hit the fan.
Over an hour of headache for about 1.5k exp, if even that much. I hate Qufim. I hate it so much.

Qufim can be a really great camp if you don't bring retards. I did a mana burn party and a regular party there and never really had much issues, just gotta know to move away from the lake once night hits, OR to just pull crabs into the tunnels while being wary of Undead. PLing makes it easier but it's really not necessary.

After 1 party I had last week I have a new pet peeve:

An LS invites you to their party and acts like its time to fool around and you have to take it since their LS mates think they're funny.

I was invited last week to a Imp killing party for syncing to me. I got Imp aggro and died otw there wo reraise up since it dropped. Then the leader asks me to raise his THF buddy while I'm still weak and a Juun kills me. I'm thinking that's ok I'll make it up when I talked to the party leader, the WAR DD, I thought "looks like I finally got a decent party" as we laid down strategy (ie priority which I do ahead of time so there's no problems when I elect to cure the tank rather than haste the DRK right away). Set-up was me as RDM main healer, a Japenese PLD tank and a THF, DRK, WAR and SAM who were all in the same LS. Anyway, the DRK and SAM in the party were in a damage dealing contest constantly pulling hate off of the tank and making me Cure all over which was seriously disrupting my Refresh/Haste cycle. Finally I ran out of MP and had to convert mid-fight and the SAM died which they all thought was hilarious. The PLD was blaming me when Refresh wasn't timely and when I complained to the party lead he laughed and said it was alright they know they might die. Then the DRK died so now EXP is messed up because of these jerks but all the LS mates think its cool. DRK and SAM are arguing over who died first cuz that means they did the most damage and are proud of the KO...

Then the straw that broke the camel's back. The THF pulls and the DRK says "I'm so awesome I can do more damage than you without my gear" and so he and the idiot SAM take off all their equipment but their weapons and take hate. I'm so sick of it this time I stopped curing them and let them die. After the fact I told them they died because I refuse to cure them when thye're in a dieing contest. The whole party is mad at me, actually idk how the PLD felt due to language barrier, they go into a sidebar discussion. I informed them fighting gearless and stealing hate is a deathwish and I won't heal them if they do that. We continued and they behaved for the next 20 minutes until we disbanded. 1 1/2 hour party and I get only 3k EXP over what I came in with....

I actually hate to say that it's kinda hillarious they were stripping naked to see who pulled the most hate. Sorry your exp suffered though.

I always take pride when my character steals hate in a party. Lately, playing WAR around 57 with a Spear cracks me all the hell up when I do more damage than a DRG on Penta. I'm easily accessing over 1k whlie they hit for 6-700. Of course, they're not spamming food and losing TP to Feather Tickle like I am either. he he :/ At any rate, I mitigate my damage with shadows so I don't have to listen to the healer WTF@##(@!!*!#$(! in tells at me. lol

Wow...I'd think pulling hate off the tank would be cause for shame not celebration. I'd be ashamed of not being able to manage my hate. Then again I'm a mage so I tend to not want the mob's attention.

Tonight's frustration: Being able to survive a three goblin onslaught, but being unable to handle 3 goblins when two of them bring pets. I'm so ashamed.

I don't. It usually meant I had to Cure bomb somebody because they took too much damage too soon. "Hey look gaiz! I'm not doing ANY damage and I took hate! I'm 1337!"

Or of course, nobody Provoked or did anything to grab hate. You won't believe how often Accession Stoneskin actually grabs hate.

Back when my brother first started the game, he played an Elvaan WAR with a polearm. This was back in Valkurm when everybody was a newbie and disillusionment hadn't set in yet. Reality that he can't be a spear wielding Warrior hit him much faster than the reality of not being a frontline RDM hit me.

Yes I got hate a lot too from curing them. Not to mention I couldn't haste anyone but the tank since they took up so much of my mp on curing...

I'm kind of wondering if I will be able to keep this damage up using G.Axe all throught the rest of playing WAR to 75. I mean, the majority of parties are birds and imps weak to piercing; I wonder if even using G.Axe/Raging Rush would even compare in damage to using Polearm/Penta.

Part of my gut instinct tells me it won't. HAHA However, I've seen Steel Cyclone produce some wicked numbers with a BRD in party, even on Statues in Sky, but I think the WAR was subbing THF. And I'm assuming Steel Cyclone is nothing without Martial Bhuj.

I'm debating right now on getting Fool's Axe or w/e is and whether it will be better than having Byakko's Axe at 74. I'm tending to think they will produce mostly the same effects.

Ketaru, tell your friend to come back and play this WAR w/Polearm because it's completely, totally doable for 30 levels lol.

Yea... But you need to stack up on ACC food/gear if you want to really hit anything.

Thats the thing that annoys me of this game. Your job is Weapon Specific. You should beable to be a warrior that uses a sword or a plan old axe instead of a Great Axe. But, because of your skill level, you cant, and your damage will suffer badly. But at earlier levels, it wont.

But my pet peeves(s) now are...

A party leader that thinks its funny to level sync when you get aggro from a worm in qufim island and you are bound. And due to the level sync, the bind doesn't wear off any time soon, so you are sitting there getting nuked to death with Stone III from the worm.

And...

Finishing a fight with a Tough conned monster, and having a DC con monster walk up to you and hit you one time and you fall. >.<

The lesson here is to stop going to Qufim because it only ends in tears.

Meh, don't be. It was five mobs. Without some large level advantage on all mobs present, that's tough on everybody.
