i finally got the game and its taken me 5 hours just to set it up! but i hope that it will be worth it.i was just wondering what all the different nations are and how they are.can someone give me a list?

Doesn't matter too much, but Hume's and Taru's make the best mages, mithra's aren't so bad either. Taru is the best.

Your nation has very little impact on your actual character. The largest difference is that you get a nation specific starting ring, but you'll replace those rings pretty soon anyway so it doesn't really matter. Just pick the nation that you like the most.

No, not yet. Play to 18 first. Then you can do a quest to get a subjob.

You only get your nation ring if your race "matches" the nation. For Bastok, that's Hume and Galka. San d'Oria, Elvaan. Windurst, Mithra and Tarutaru.

Yah, that really sucked when I made my San d'Orian Taru... you can just buy the ring from the gate guard though, with conquest points... I think only when the nation is in first though.
