I must admit to having a few words be FFXI'zed when we get back from a fire job we have to "Book in" I turn to our new probie and tell him to log us into the server, he had such a WTF look on his face, took me 5 minutes to realise what i said. too much time playing, of course the reverse has happened when playing FF I have often typed fire terminoligy into the LS, followed by many members WTFing.

yeah i mix up ffxi termanology with RL sometimes too

once when me and my bro were fighting my dad asked me why we were fighting i said "Danny Aggro'd me" then me and my bro busted up laughing til i puked. my dad made me clean it up and we never did remember why we started fighting

When I started reading this thread I LOLed thinking this never happend to me. Then it happend my Mum called me this Sunday while I was playing and when she asked what I was doing without even thinking about it I told her I was muleing in Sandy. To say the leest she was somewhat confused.

lol unfortunately sometimes when I get stressed out about the game or people on my server I end up dreaming in ffxi terms as in dialogue, characters etc. I finally nipped it in the bud though go me! lol

definitely had those moments. My wife asked me while i was sleeping if we could get a cat and my reply well still asleep was sure mithra are nice we can get one. I wake up Two hrs later and see a cat in the living room and my reply was when did i say we could have a cat. Thus times ffxi and life don't mix. its ok though that sits on my lap while i play thus the cat has weasled its way into my heart. Got to love this game lol

i once dreamed that i somehow ended up in ff7 and found the buster sword and braught it to my charecter in FF11 and started to slice up the trees and monsters in ronfaure then again i dreamed that i have dreamed that i dated tifa, yuffy, aries, selphe and riku but thats just me

Um...you have some serious problems distinguising the real world from the game world. I'm a serious gamer. But I only play FFXI 4-6 hours a day on WEEKENDS only. During the week, I only play about 1 hour max per day. Not Everybody is a hardcore gamer like you are. There remany like you of course, but not everyone is like that.

I've had moments like that. Walked into my bank and asked the teller if I could withdraw some gil for laundry. Thankfully, she knew the word since her brother used to play all the FF games and we had a good laugh. Or my hubby would wake me up and tell me he's going to make coffee so I told him the fire crystals and distilled water were on my mules.

And Jenova, relax. This is just a fun thread about moments where we've had odd FFXI dreams or slips of the tongues. It happens to everyone now and then.

I've woken up in the morning and hit the snooze and fall back into the half-dream half-awake state if you know what I mean. I'd either be in FFXI I doing something and mumbling or going through what I thought I was going to do that day only FFXI-ized... it's interesting to see sometimes. I have to say, it's a little dissappointing when it's not real sometimes

Like Asir said. It's really easy especially when you've used the terms in conversation with a person face to face when you were referrencing the game. The odds of making such a mistake gets even higher.

I've on more then one occassion reffered to my money as gil (FFXI), munny(KH), ungs (don't remember were that currency came from), plat (EQ), etc... Especially after using it recently in a live conversation with a friend about the game.

Just wait I'll happen to you sooner or late, likely already had just you haven't noticed.
