    Re: This kind of behaviour...

well i see where the guy was coming from. when your waiting on 1 more job thats very scarce. like a tank or mage. an you finally see one come on. the first thign you do is try to nab them asap.

when you see a empty screen an then a {party} pops up it grabs your attention. an then from there every detail is worked out. well at least for the billions of times it happens to me. thats whaty usually happens.

Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

      B. If i get two invites back to back, more likely than not I'm taking the one from the person who tried to form something coherent in their /tell.

I don't agree with it, but I can atleast halfway understand why someone halfasses an invite when the other person is seeking. However, when the other person isn't even seeking, why wouldn't you try to extend every courtesy when inviting them? They haven't asked anything of you. You're not doing them any favors by inviting them when their flag isn't up. Be as nice and as intelligent as possible in your /tells and you stand a far greater chance of getting another party member.

Which would you have joined -.-?

Thats not even the case, he sort of forced me to join his pt, lol.
At this point, I would just like to tell you to get off your high horse. Your response was not productive either. Perhaps you should go play Dragoon or Dark Knight just to see how it feels to NOT get invited. Then you'll be jumping at every opportunity to get invited. (sorry for the drg and drk bashing, we smn's sometimes are in the same boat as you two) You could have answered it better. Instead of ? you could have said "What type of party?" it's not that difficult to type that. It's not difficult, nor is it time consuming. If you can post on a forum I'm going to think that you have atleast a 40 wpm typing skill. (but from your responses you can't even type don't with a ' in it)

Lol, this is an all too familiar situation to me as well.

When I'm looking for a party actively, (flag up and search messages), I'm willing to take {Party}, as if it's a complete thought. When I'm not looking, I tend to get a little more adversarial about replying:

                1. Who are you?
                2. What kind of party?
                3. What role do you expect me to play in this party? (If I'm not looking and you expect me to drop everything to play main healer on SMN, you're usually out of luck).
                4. Where are we going?
                5. What's the mob? (I hate Toramas and Cockatrices, and if you use the word "Fly" at all, I probably will blacklist you before you get a chance to spread around any more stupid).

This is the kind of situation I expect to see more if you're playing on WHM or RDM than any other job, for some reason people are very possessive of us when they start conversations. I've actually had this conversation when I was trying to finish a quest on WHM, and the annoying party leader ended up Blisted pretty fast.

Lately, I've had a really new experience: I'll log on my 70 SMN to start doing a quest or farm something and I'll get tells inviting me to join someone's fledgling HNMLS. I'm thinking of trying to apply my questions to these people as well. These people seem to come up with really inventive threats and passive-aggressive responses when you turn them down.

                  Re: This kind of behaviour...

Yea yea i know i shouldve has said something like:

Me > "I know youre inviting me to a party, have you noticed i am not seeking, and have you noticed you didnt say anything for around 5 minutes after you said [Party] to me? I will do your work for you, o wait i'm getting another invite that tells me theyre ready to go, sorry i accepted this other party, good luck."

Him > "join my pt cos i tell you 10 min ago, ur mine and i can do with u as i plz"

                  >_>

Can we drop the subject on the type of invite he sent me and my response to him? yea i pointed it out on the first post giving the idea that that was what i wanted to discuss on, it wasnt the first time i was TOLD to join their pt, thats what i was wishing to get a discussion on >_>

In this situation i just accepted the second invite, and then he asked me JOIN OR NO!? and i told him i had pt, thats what this is about <_<

                  Double Post Edited:
and to respond to Omni, too bad it wasnt you, cos if it had been you you probably would have taken the time to put up a decent invite, so maybe this wouldnt have happened right?

Whenever someone gives me a /t with "(Party)" I just ignore it. Usually they start spamming tells & maybe send an invite.

Even when I had something about idiots who'd send "PT" in my /sea comment, I'd still get the messages. If I'm not seeking during JP time, I can afford to look around for the right party.

I think compare to this, the short tell doesn't seem so bad...

World of Warcraft is a huge online game/community. Recently a member of this community passed away in real life.
A funeral was held in his honor in the virtual World of Warcraft world.

Members showed up to the memorial service unarmed and wearing black robes only.

Unfortunately for them a bunch of party crashers in full armor and armed to the teeth killed virtually everyone in attendance.

This happenstance was all captured on video.

transform a yellow spot into the sun.

Not for me. I learned my lesson the hard way. Even as a DRK. So now I don't just take blind invites. No exp for one week is better than losing 50-100K a night and end up with even less exp than when you start with.

LFP for hours > Bad Parties. 'nuff said.
