then they led me thru the 1st two parts of WotG's "Gryphon" storyline; which netted me 2 items together worth 130k on AH.

Not to be a downer, but you do realize those two items are needed for Gobbiebags VII and VIII, right? Since you just got Gobbiebag VI opened up, get ready to be forking over that 130k right back to the AH, along with a lot more for the rest of the items (quite a few of which are available for free, much like the Deathstone and Angelstone, through the WotG storyline), once you get that one done.

I do realize that.. but I need the gil more than the space at this time. And I couldn't afford the other parts anyway. Maybe prices will come down before I want those 10 last slots or maybe I'll have a better way to gather income.

I doubt the prices will drop too much, since those items (and their sources) have been around long enough for the prices to stabilize where they are. You'll be better off working up the gil than to wait for the prices to come to you.

But as long as you're aware of the consequences of your actions, you're straight.

If you have access to Phomunia Aqueducts and/or Sacrarium, and see any runs that would take you there (missions, subligar, swift belt), see if you can tag along for the Ballon Cloth and Shakudo Ingot. They drop frequently from RNG/THF and SAM/NIN Fomors, respectively.

The HQ Eft Skin drops from Efts in Bibiki Bay. Those are only lvl 30-36, so if you have a higher level job than that, you can farm them easily enough.

The only problem (which I'm thinking is what you're not able to afford) is the Iolite. Those suckers drop from Corses in Attowha Chasm. Good luck getting those. This is where I'd suggest you start finding ways to make that bank; Iolite won't be coming to you in any way, shape, or form any time soon.

I thank you for the information, however those are details for the Gobbie Bag VI that I just acquired (55-60). The "Gryphon" storyline gives you pieces for VII and VIII (60-70) I know I'll fork gil out eventually but I'm good with 60 atm... I've basically gone from 40-60 slots all at once (1mo) cuz I never checked my Fame in Jeuno.

Great ideas to help me afford those upgrades tho... thank you.

Do HQ Eft skins drop with /thf or would I need TH2 to take advantage of that lil gem....

I'll have to wait until I'm done with my Promys to get to the Aquaducts unfortunately... as that has proven very hard to find people able and willing to do. Really want that Gemini Subligar to get my haste harness I never remember how to spell.

So I log in and find out that there's a small ZM mission run that's just starting. It's there plan to go from ZM4-ZM16 or so. I will take this time to make a blow by blow account of our trials!

BTW, we've already started but waiting on people and my old knee injury is killing me right now so I've got to do something to get my mind off the pain.

So off to the Temple of Uggwhatever! Those of us who need to get the tonberry hate quest started. We already have 2 lanterns and a paintbrush, so not expecting to spend too much time farming if at all.

So, first I hit Norg, then warp back to Windurst and head off to Yhoater! I've got no map of the Temple but Sassy gives me directions and I pullup the Wiki map and make it to where the rest of the party are at, which is roughly the paintbrush room. Down into the Den of Rancor we go. Some of the people get split up, we have to kill a bomb when we go to light lanterns. We pass some NM tonberry on our way down to the gate. We have to make a second trip to light the lanterns, and find out that Friar Rush has spawned. So those of us waiting at the gate foot it back to kill the Friar, Bomb Core drops which I get in the auto sort. No one says anything when I ask if we're selling and splitting or if it goes to whoever gets the item, so I'm assuming it's mine.

Head on back, kill the tonberry NM and get some kinda Whm wandy dodad widget thing. Get a shitload of aggro because one person says to fight all the bats, goes charging off, gets aggro. We kill aggro but in the process of sneaking up a tonberry aggroes him, links the room. We light the lantern and the chatlog goes something like:

OMG run!
The door is open! Zone!
Flee for your lives!!!!
<Run Away!>


And then, totally classic, one of our members who was fighting off the links missing all of the chatlog, missed seeing everyone running for the zone, and we see a, "Where'd you all go?", in the chat log.

So keep in mind we've probably spent 30+ minutes, close to an hour I'd say, on this by now. And as people start talking about buffing up for the fight, I ask, "But what about resetting our tonberry hate?"

This ingenious and sage suggestion was met with a collective, "....." followed by "LOL" from the party, with a, "We don't wanna go back now" response.

Well, we know what THAT led to!

Buncha time wasted before/after the BCNM fight, leaving out alot of confusing and such dialogue.


Wait 10 minutes since warping out to La Theine before deciding to head over to Fei'Yin. Wait 20-30 minutes once in the glacier before getting bored and heading over to Fei'Yin and beating the two people there. They come and now we're off to La Theine and it's crystal.

The next few are rather uneventful.


Oh gawd I do NOT want to talk about the Ifrit's Cauldron trip.

Right now I dunno. I'm not particularly happy at the moment, although I will say it's, not exactly bad, well, I dunno. I have serious issues with our Samurai who doesn't let anyone know that sneak or invis is wearing until it's gone and he's got aggro. The rest of his friends just seem a little, disorganized to me. Definitely lacking the polish that my CoP group had.

My main gripe right now is that we've spent, 4+ hours on this, starting on the Temple of whatever fight, and we're like, 2/3rds of the way done with the cermet headstone part of it. My main compliant is that this is SO not the 3-5 hour can be done in 1.5 hours wham-bam-thank you mam that was presented to me in the first place.

It IS nice to be working on this though, I just wish it were better organized is all I guess, and for sure some better communication from some of the people.


And now resting before the Cape Terrigan one, my knee is still killing me.

Cape Terrigan fight was actually really easy. Remind me to help someone with that fight when I want to learn Dimensional Death on my Blu.

Now we only have the Zi'Tah fight left, but I think I'm going to have to log, getting too sleepy. Knee is still bothering me and I don't know if I'll be able to sleep though :/

I don't know what's been going on, but these mats have been extremely scarce in the past 2-3 weeks. I've been wanting to hit XP hard with my RNG and have been wary b/c I'm nearly out of ammo- something like 3 Scorpion Quivers left, plus a few stacks of fangs that I use on my SAM. I paid too much for them, but that's OK- this will get my WW up another 3-4 points probably, putting me close to 60, and I can finally go crazy on my RNG, maybe get it to 50 and then start working on some serious farming and some AF quests.

Soon to be latest accomplishment: Rank 2 Windurst. It's minor, but a big deal for me since last time I did the 1-3 mission was for San d'Oria and it wasn't overly easy (not really difficult either I suppose) but I waited til I'd unlocked subjobs to do it.

In the midst of doing the missions last night, I managed to level up three times, so I'm happy.

Got PLD to 41, trying BLU/PLD out in Campaign and tanking mobs rock, gettting a buttload of xp.

Got BLU to 22, and finally ready for Qufim (as in, I need to cap Sword, and need to learn Screwdriver). Finally pushed through some more crafting, and found a nice money maker, at least for a while. At one point tonight, stuff was selling through the AH faster than I could make it and put it up for sale. That's a nice change of pace.

Did KS99 the other night, and finally everything sold, that was a nice 500k boost to my wallet, lol.

In other news, been busy making sigs for people in my ls, it's been entertaining as shit, lol.

Lately there's been this guy in Lower Jeuno shouting for DD jobs to Level SYnc party in Qufim. He's a DRK himself and has a RDM buddy PL the party, and basically some combination of 6 DD and BLMs tear around Qufim for a couple hours wrecking everything.

Also Woodworking skillups are coming faster than I expected, I only managed to buy 2 stacks of arrowood lumber from the guild last night but it was enough to bump up my skill 2.3-ish points.
