Your looking at Pixles in other words not real. I will never make a female character if i have a choice not too. Even if they had Uber stats I would still be Male. Because the fact that I AM A MAN! in RL.

What other MMO allows you to change your job at will? None.
What other MMO actually has a plot? None. Well, Acheron's call did, but it's pretty much dead now. Please bear in mid that a plot is different then backstory.

1st. WoW,CoV,L2,CoH,SwG, all have plots..... I dont know what your talking about

2nd. Sure you cant play multipul classes on one character on WoW but thats why extra characters are FREE

3rd. That comic was funny as hell and prob true.

anyways.... I'm bored with FFXI so im playin WoW and wont go back to FFXI until I get bored of WoW THe burning crusade. So I dont realy care if they do make Manthras playable. I got a Male Hume that lots of my female compainions like to flirt with

40hours a Week? you think your sweaty. I work 75 Hours a Week Fixing Pipe lines, Cutting trees, Fixing Roofs, putting up Shuters on windows before hurricans, many things =\. But even then I still play a Male Character because the fact that I am a Male. If I wona look at a Females I go into first person at the Windurst AH and flirt with females when I'm in a party with One.. when i know they are female .. realy female lol

But thats fine if you play a Female as long as you let others know your a guy.

I honestly don't see why people make a big deal about guys playing women in games, only time I have a problem with it is if they'r'e using it to take advantage of people.

But still, how many guys here haven't played Metroid/Tomb Raider just because the main characters are women?

Thing is, if you're playing a female character, you don't even have to say that you're a guy or a girl, and people treat you differently. They give you free stuff, help you with things, and try and chat you up. Completely randomly. I wish I were kidding. It's creepy and weird, and I don't appreciate it, but it's not my doing - it's the sexually frustrated guy on the other end who sees a few girly pixels and thinks he'd like to get some of that.

I'm not obligated to disclose who I am to all that I meet, I've personally never understood the need to know who someone really is five seconds after meeting them. Male, Female, Straight, Gay, Black, White, Asian - I don't give a damn so long as you can play your job properly. I can get into personal stuff later when I actually get to know you through common interests.

I was in an LS for like three months before I knew one of my friends there was black, it wasn't important for me to know nor did it change how I approached him. I don't see people asking others constantly what their real race is, but the matter of gender seems to be really important to people for some reason.

I think the underlying reason you'd really want a male mithra is to reduce the embarassment of hitting on a guy playing a female character or being assumed to be a woman for being a woman. There's no other real reason to express a desire for a playable male mithra otherwise. Being a man just because you're a man is like picking Hume because you're human.

Its a fantasy world, live a little. Stop tying games down with what's real to you.

It's none of their business. I'm playing the game to have fun, not to use it as an online dating service. If they are dumb enough to give free stuff to someone they just assume is a girl, well...I might feel a pang of concience for a moment or two, but they're the dumbass giving things away, so I get over it really fast.

If anyone asks, I'll tell them a guy. But if they are going to just assume? Well, it's not my responsiblity to clue them in.

Anyway, it's a moot point now, as I'm playing a male character. My little mithra is long since retired.

I'd love to play a female galka if they did. They always look so big and muscly to me.
Hmm..... that kind of brings a muscley woman to mind. A thought which is rather odd I think. I don't see any muscly women around thees days. Do you?
Maybe SE could just tone down on the muscles for Galka instead then.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I can't see most of the male players who play mithra scrapping years of hard work in order to play a male cat person. But maybe a few would.
