Re: Inflaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaation
It depends on what you're fighting and just how much "other" equipment your friends are fielding. For example, you didn't say just how much +acc they had on them, only just a general statement of "with no sniper's rings." If they had other +acc rings in those slots, then losing -4 to acc total isn't going to change anything with that situation. For all we know, if the average melee don't have a peacock charm equivalent, yet your friends got them peacock amulet, then your point is moot. You're not exactly telling us the whole story ...
In the end, player experience will come down to what you need to fight if you're not properly equipped for your levels. I know that even at low levels, fielding proper gear can make the difference in exp chaining, even if you're only fighting low IT lizards in dunes. I see this on Qufim, when a BRD goes down in two hits by a pugil because he/she thought she could get away with sparse equipment and only fielding a couple of +chr pieces.
It becomes even more apparent at higher levels. The gap widens considerably when you put Rank 10 with multiple 70 jobs together and when you put a bunch of first-timers together with barely decent equipment. The fights are different and the flow of exp is that much more different.
I for one don't feel it is necessary for players to be equipped in HQ versions of everything, but when a player cannot even meet the needs of a party halfway, then I'm sorry, no matter what excuses you give, I can only say that the player wasn't dedicated enough or serious enough about his job. There's good players and bad players. Where you want to be is dependant on how serious you take your job. There is a fun factor in all of this, but there is also a reality check.
If you think you can't cut it, then don't buy it.
I'm not talking about buying in terms of buying from AH or the bazaar. I meant buying the game itself. Stay away from this title if you think nothing but bad because at that point, no matter what you try to do, you won't enjoy this game at all.
Oh, and Ninnin, because you're in a static, of course it means nothing. Try to go in a PUP (Pick Up Party) and say the same thing. I bet you can't.
