I play PC. The resolution is so much better if you turn it up (don't use default, use the config file and turn it up). And I use my dualshock controller via a USB adapter, so it isn't an issue, either.

PC first, and then summer 2004 got it for PS2 because I couldn't stand the lag in Jeuno.

I alternate between the two depending on what I'm doing.

The only problem with the resolution tweaking is that it makes everything look plastic. The scenery textures aren't too exciting. I couldn't stand looking at the same boring textures all the time, one of the reasons why I left.

I have PC PS2 and laptop. I 3 box from time to time but my main is always on PC. Because my PC is on my working desk at the most convenient and comfortable spot to be at :D with my working chairs, keyboard and everything.

my laptop is too laggy from time to time because its lack of memory and good vga, PS2 is a pain to read the text on my poor TV screen.

PC. It was cheaper. Even though I literally had to buy a computer for it. Yay for thrift store specials. After I tossed in my old desktop's video card (Radeon 8500 LE) and tweaked the BIOS, I've gotten the benchmark score up to a respectable 2026-H. Good enough for me.

Started out on PS2 when it was first released for the PS2. Got a new computer maybe half a year or so after that and moved to PC. I prefer the PC because, well, the graphics are better, plus the menus don't take up 60% of the damned screen. Buy a $10 USB adapter so you can use a PS2 controller on the PC and I'm set.

And if I remember correctly (I haven't played this game for over half a year but am starting again), the PC version has actually beem more popular than the PS2 version in the US. Maybe I'm wrong...but I always thought the PS2ers were in the minority here. In Japan it's a different story. And yeah, this game was made for the PS2 first, not the PC, even though it did come out on the PC first in English. Don't believe? Have you even tried playing the game with just a keyboard and mouse? You'll believe now...

PC, because:

A. I would have had to wait longer to play it on the PS2.
B. It was cheaper.
C. I only had a dial-up internet connection at the time.

I have both the PC and the PS2 version. But I play the PS2 version because the computer I play FFXI on is barely able to handle it now. Plus, I can look up something while questing or doing a mission. Plus the controls are awesome on the PS2 (though there are some things I wish they could change).

But I will say that I am eagerly awaiting the new Xbox 360 version. I plan on switching over to that when it is released. Its just a lot easier for me to play games on consoles then on the PC.

I use my PS2 controller on my PC. I just bought a little adapter from Radioshack for $10 that allows my PS2 to hook up to my PC.

I use the PS2, alot less lag because its an OS, unlike Windows which just emulates the game. ___Note: It looks great on the TV if you have HDTV... then again I use a modded PS2 that supports 1080DPI.... But Before, it was still better on PS2, and the dat files jsut make the stuff look better, its not like it actually helps you. But for reference... I got it to work on my Xbox.... Linux/Windows emulator via modchip.... cant play it tho b/c wont download content. But I still use PS2. Content downloads faster, even with dial up. Sure it takes an hour or two to unzip, but hey, gotta sleep sometime eh? It just seems more stable with the PS2... dont ya think?

I havnt even unwrapped my ffxi for pc yet, but I realy want to get the Xbox 360 version wen its all come out!
