Kinda not the good place to ask this ,personnali i dint even wait 1 day for the email to come,mayeb u wroe wrong email even if i doubt about that,or maybe it went in ur junk folder of ur email,take a look nothing to lose or try to ask another confirmation,good luck with that.

I am not for gil selling or buying....but if it was a gift from someone that I was friends with........ to me, throwing it awy, and telling them or not telling them even, would be rude and very disrespectful to that person.

id take it just because it was a gift, i wouldent want a friend to waste money for me to say i dont want it, that would be pretty messed up. altho i would take it i wouldent give someone money/gil for a pressant id give em armor or somethin ^_^

Well as for me that is a very tough decision, if someone just randomly sent me gil especially 1 mil, as far as saying No now wouldnt be a problem, I am just not sure how well i would do in making the right choice when the time came, but I suppose I would do my best to remember that recieving gil that you buy yourself, or someone els bought could very well be against the terms of service or just FFXI rules in general.

Eh, I would probably just drop the gil. I don't want to damage the economy and I think that 1 million gil on my server would hurt the server more, compared to other servers.

it would only hurt the econony if you.....oh say payed 1mil for a 500k item, but if you buy things a t normal prices, that gil no matter how much you get will not hurt

If it were a Legit action I suppose. But the gill is as good as Pirated. The sellers are mostly Chinese, and run pretty high tech labs with only one intent. Selling gill. They farm everything we farm except with avengence and no remorse for those who need the items. Perhaps we should just buy the items from THEM if we can get them ourselves...? Nope I dont think so.
Whats worse they get away with it. The account can be cacled but there are millions more where that came from. Also every one other than the UK, and US, gets a pop several seconds before us. All those rules tat are ment to inhibit theft of mobs, doesnt realy effect the sellers, its their jobs to the stuff at all costs.

Theres nothing legit about gill sales, or the purchase of it. Find a seller, get proof and report them ASAP. Result is Termination of account.

I find it hilarious that so many people openly curse gilsellers/gilbuyers and take the moral high ground on the subject and yet the majority of people who voted would have no issue taking the gil.

I dont really curse it......I just say that to cover up myself.....*cough*iboughtgiloffebayyesterday*cough* but shhhhhhh......xD

Note: as far as their account getting termination, that is a myth what people do outsidde of the game has nothing to do with SE, yes SE does not like it, and it can get out of hand, but if you look at the legal side of it, SE has no control over what goes on in real life. As for the Chinese workers, you can exspect them to find any means of making money, most of the country is poor, I have a friend who just moved to America and he lived in China. If your family was starving would you find a way to make money and put food on the table?

ie. they have to admit it, and admitting it cancels "most obvious conclusion"


while circumstantial evidence suggests so, there are also other alternatives. maybe a rl friend/family member bought them a lot of gil? maybe a rl friend/family member was leaving the game?

i found out that my set of centurion armor i have in storage i bought at 10-20k a piece is now going for +100k a piece, unless you liquidate what you've got and keep tabs on it, any high level can have millions of gil in equipment. if they had 2x astrals, leaping boots, emporer hairpin and rabit charm, there's over 10M gil there.

if they had a hauby... serket rings go for 8-10M now...

if they /tell me they bought it, that's different, but if i have to "guess" and "assume" b/c of circumstantial evidence then i'll give them the benefit of doubt.

otherwise I'll have to make sure if I sell something on the AH isn't bought with RMT gil. otherwise it's the same thing, I accepted bought gil.
