    Re: what does AGI do???

Well Macht, if you ever get around to it, I'd love to hear the results of the test. I'd be nice to see some fresh data about accuracy in general. Good luck crackin out the MS Excel there o.O If you do piece together even a rough model for it you'd be taking a step forward for the FFXI community in general.

Pfft, I might keep it in Excel or convert into a database. I preffer the database idea more so the data can be manipulated on the fly much more easily. That way I can sum up and roll out various results to see if I find a pattern, just got to hope I get enough variables to reveal any patterns. I'm pretty picky about variables and such to use in that respect, if I could I'd be recording every little speck I could even if it seems irrelevant.

The more possible variables you can find that could be questioned and you actually test for the more likely the results prove a condition and less likely to be debunked. If I could (but be ungodly lengthy to do, be like 200,000 records or more then) I would record Earthday(As in Mon, Tue, Wed, etc..), Earth time, Gameday(As in Firesday, Iceday, etc...), Game time(Vana'diel's time), Moon Phase (Percent and direction Waxing or Waining), Race, Level, Direction facing, stats, Weapon's skill, hits, attempted hits, items used (equipment, weapon, arrows, etc..), monster, check evasion condition (High evasion, nothing, Low evasion, etc..), check defensive condition (High defense, nothing, Low defense, etc...), check condition (IT, VT, T, EM , DC, EP, TW, etc...), Zone, and Weather Effects.

That's been about every stinking possible variable I could think of yes probably 90% will prove nothing, but better to error with evidence then just blind ignorance. Given that my resources are not that big to try and likely my friends patience are not that long. We were content with just the condtitions of Race, Level, Monster, all 3 check conditions (Evasion, Defense, Difficulty), Weapon's skill, Stat, hits, and attempted hits.

Sadly I bet most of those variables DO count. LOL go SE.
