Does Zombify exist in ffxi ?

If so, does the ZOMB+LIFE combo still work ?

can't use raise on enemies either. would be cool tho if we can kill a boss in 1 shot like that doom train in FF6

You can cast Cure to injure undead mobs but that's as far as it goes in FFXI at the moment. Nothing on PCs, and no Life for instant death.

Life would be called Raise however, and you can't use that on the dead.

You can't cast life on monsters anyway. Regardless of what you want to do, because the game will restrict you. It has nothing to do with sensibilities in using the spell, because this isn't a D&D game with a GM and a couple of 20-sided dies



Anyway, there are several spells which fall into this category:

Several songs that have similar properties to the above spells

Suprisingly, Cure-ga doesn't work outside of yourself and party members either. I don't know enough about haste being used on an enemy, although I suppose it could (Wonder if this will do anything to certain NMs if you were able to?)

Edit: If Cure-ga was made so you *could* use it on a monster, then it should be more powerful than the corresponding cure spell and a WHM could effectively use it to MB on light/fusion chains against undead.
