  • Anyone heard any news on this?

I'm calling BS on this but I'm wondering if anyone has heard anything about this:

Recently i've been trying to get my Intruder Earring that drops off "Centurio XII-I" in Eastern Altepa Desert. He's a 21 hour pop NM. I've camped him many times before just buy guessing the ToD all the way back to when maintenance happened, however, last night, I wasn't so Lucky. The server came up…

Let me repeat that in no way do I actually believe that this has happened. (Faithymuch is obviously me) But since I don't really pay close attention to these things I'm wondering if anyone actually heard about anything like this. Cause I could be wrong, and although it's possible something like this could probably happen, I really find it unlikely. Just curious x_x

    Double Post Edited:
What i'm asking about is the "RMT hacked the server during maintenance" thing.

    Thanks Yyg!

Hacking a server during maitenance is highly unlikely. First off because a good network would give room to shutdown completly connections that would reach those servers (Especially if its a Cisco Brand network with it's Virtual LAN design).

Virtual LAN allows for on-the-fly modifications of the networks appearance, it allows for segmenting the network so you can actually place specific ports in seclusion. With a Switch configured for only direct connection (means it denies telnet requests and port 80 requests to it) to communicate with it locks out any possibility of a hacker altering a Virtual LAN design. Reason being is that this isn't just a software change, they would have to physically change the hardware connection as well.

So unless RMT has someone on the inside of SE working with them and not only that has permissions to access these switches directly, I would say his idea to be a load of bs.
