Create a Character Help

Um, I installed everything and all that, but whenever I get to the main screen on the game where you log on a character/delete a character/ and create a character, I click on Create a Character, and for some reason the screen turns pitch black, but I can still hear the music. Can anyone help me?

this web use to have a add character slot help page for people that want to add new character to their account. Not sure if you need to do that if its your first character but that link for the page has not been up after the upgrade of the web.
Maybe a mod can direct a link to it if your problem is that you have not add a character slot so that you can create a character.
I may be wrong so dont blame me if i am ;p

Ahh I heard of this a while back.. I believe the way to fix it was to go to your FFXI settings (in start menu) then check(or uncheck) one of the boxes (not sure of which one.. wish I could have been more help)
