I didn't much care for the $1 for an extra ID, but it's only $15 a month for me. I do know some people who have like 5 mules. Which is crazy in my eyes, but they say it's for the extra AH slots. If they wanna spend the loot, it's on them. I'm good to go with my main and 2 mules.
