    From farming Giant Scales in Riverne to navigating the Sacrarium without pulling aggro and dying, the CoP missions seem deliberately designed to weed out the uncommitted, lazy, and incompetent, at every step.

    Couldn't have said it better myself. Getting through the Promys was a pain in the ass even though I still got them done earlier than most. It wasn't until 2-3 and 2-5 that some LS friends and I put together a CoP static where we were able to dominate the mammets, Diablos, ect. Fact of the matter is, these missions are tough and require careful planning which is why I'm waiting on my friends before I go on with Oruryu (havn't progressed in CoP in over 6 months >.>. Anyway, I've had more fun doing CoP than anything else in this game. Having level 70+s beat SL for you or help you through ZMs is nice, but the feeling you get when you beat Diablos is incredible. So find some friends and get a static put together. Trust me, it's worth it.

      to be honest, not only CoP but same as ZM too they are kinda old that not many people needs to do it anymore. I remember doing ZM up to 14 in a month with pick up groups too but that was because everyone wanted/needed to do it. These days, CoP shouts are pretty rare. Let alone ZM where ppl just want to do it for sky access and never touch the AAs

        Like all things, pick-up parties are random. Just look at all the horror stories we have for AF, Genkai, Quests, etc. of pick-up parties.

        Just that for Promyvion its level capped, so we can't go "Instead of 5 people, I'll just ask 1 level 75 friend to do it all". Thus we are dependent on serveral other player once.

        But if you play FFXI for any extended period of time, there has got to be 5 people you know who are good players and wanted to do it. I helped many friends and LS members do this, and so far it all went rather smoothly.

          i finally finished promy-holla, my own personal nightmare. 1/4, my whole ls finished before me. mea and dem are pushovers copared to holla, so be forewarned if your goin at holla your first time. all animas are a must, even with the best pt set-up shit happens. better safe than sorry. it also helps to know what your doing, and an alliance is your friend on the floors up there. good luck to everyone!

            Are the CoP missions really worth it?....

            And another godly ring I don't know it's name. But it's a tank ring.

            I suggest that those of you who don't know what they are should go look around for players that have them. They are some of the best free equipement I have ever seen.

                I'm 2/2 on holla, with mostly LS pts. Neither time did we take an alliance. Though on our first run we met another PT there and decided to team up. But when we got to the second floor, the other PT aggroed half the zone. After a near wipe we split up and headed our seperate ways. My PT was able to get to the 4th floor without any problems at that point, but on our way to the spire our mages got /tells from the other PT asking for raises. Sure enough, most of them were dead and scattered all over, surrounded by IT+++ mobs. Luckily their BLM survived and with the help of a few Carbys we were able to aggro the mobs, tractor the dead, raise everyone and get to the spire.

                Moral of the story, you don't need an alliance to get all the way up holla, you just need pt members with half a brain.

                  Re: The curse of promyvion

                  Bump sorta.. Just had to chime in.. that I must be 0/8+ for Promy-Mea... Everytime.. it's something else. I tried it again earlier today. My PT had gotten to the 2nd MR, beat it.. met up with another PT there, allianced (~.~; I know.. bad idea) We got to the 3rd MR, beat it.. someone agro'd a weeper near by before anybody even got on the memory stream. Everybody rushed through... (Why why why.. if we have an alliance.. we could've taken it) I Stayed trying to heal the tank (NIN) who kept gettin interupted when trying to enter. I was the last left.. and of course died. the other PT went on.. my PT somehow got back to me.. but someone agro'd whatever the heck it was.. death to PT... ~.~;

                  Everyone's problem in pick-up PTs while Doing Promyvs is that they are rushing... plain and simple. No One has any patience what so ever when doing promyvs.. may it be the music affecting everyone or something?? I think in future PTs.. I will tell everyone to turn the music down and sound fx up while in promyv...

                    Bringing Anima was the only way I've ever won with a pickup group. I beat Mea and Holla easily without Anima with players I trused, without a smn or rng heavy party prenerf. I think we had a monk and a sam heh~
