yay and i do mean yay, looks like SE is finally getting it together. They made a few new nms and made the drops rare/ex and they took some of the old nm have rare/ex drops with the old drops being gained through bcnms. Now if they continue on with this they could slowly make all the nm equip drops rare/ex with the old drops being gained through bcnms and theyd put the gil sellers out of business, this is something id personally love to see. I think we are gonna finally see people getting good equip without having to farm for two or three or even more months to get it. The price of a pair of level 7 boots was almost 1 mil on ramuh. 1 mil for level 7 boots thats just insane. A necklace that drops off argus worth 12 mil wtf? a hairpin worth 1.5 mil + thats crazy. good job SE continue with what youre doing, give us all a chance to get the good stuff. Now up the drop rate on those new rare/ex items a little bit and it would make this game alot more exciting.

No doubt items like Kotes and the O/E Bow will be the next to go.

Those they changed were the worst though, such low level items at rediculas prices.

You can't just look at the level and go "That's too much for a low level item." You have to realize the stats those items give are insanely good. Peacock Charm: All jobs can get Acc+10 R.Acc+10 at level 33! No other necklace can give 10 Acc and certainly no where near level 33. Also, the pop time of argus was insane and without a gauranteed drop, it was hard to get. I think the price tag on it was easily earned.

Leaping Boots: Dex+3 and Agi+3 at level SEVEN. You can't even use rings to give stats like that until 36, and even then, those are HQ rings. Same goes with the Emp. Hairpin, except it also added Eva+10 which rocked more so than any other piece in that slot ever will. Archer Rings weren't that great in themselves however, I will agree with that. But they are used to make -endgame- rings for melee jobs, and Sniper Rings easily warrant their own price tag as well giving so much Acc in the ring slot at level 40. So why shouldn't Archer Ring sellers make it breakeven for the leathercrafters who NQ all day long? The leathercrafters bought it at that price, so it isn't that outrageous.

These items seperated the rich from the poor, and there will always be a gap for that. People should have realized long ago that just because it's there and the best doesn't mean they should have it. I didn't get my first pair of leaping boots until after I got Lu Shangs rod and earned the gil for it nine months into the game; it just seems people are too lazy to work hard for the godlier of items in the game. I do agree SE needed to do something to thwart the gilsellers, but putting Peacock Charm in a BCNM40? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Of course, this patch makes all the poor and/or lazy people go "Sweet!" but oh well, the masses will always bitch until they have their way.
