Did S-E mess up sewer syrups spawn timing during maintenance?

Well finally im able to gather together a party capable of destroying the Jelly ring dropping NM Sewer syrup... I hear that its supposed to be a 2-3 hr spawn. We camp it for 5 hours and 30 minutes and no spawn whatsoever. Now I know you have to kill Mousse placeholders and it spawns at I-11, but could they have messed up the spawn times where it wont spawn? Or is it just that one of the placeholders is further off than we think, We killed the one in that lil I-11 room, H-11 tunnel, and sometimes the one a lil further down.

It's a lottery pop, it could pop in 16 minutes or it could not pop in 16 hours. It's only placeholder is the one situated in the room you were killing, you did nothing wrong but lack patience.

Charybdis (The mob that drops Joyeuse is a Kraken type, I believe ^^) is on a 11-14 hour spawn now, I believe. It's got a 3 hour window every 11 hours (After Time of Death) where it will spawn.

Well, of course we're not going to give up. And pretty much the only why we left is because they had to wake up early, but we'll keep on trying.

When i camped my Jelly ring, I spent roughly 2 hours till it popped. When I helped a friend, we were there at least 7 hours before it popped.

had it spawn twice withen 6 hours on Titan =o.

Can solo as thf/nin with bloody bolts, takes long ass time and your screwed if you get a mousse add but ya.... popped him last night after killing PH twice.

Before becoming a lottery pop with the Devil Manta's, Charybdis is 6 hour "cool down" at C/D-10 square (off the map) in Sea Grotto past the gold coin door. There are two spawns in the room, one that will always spawn in it, one that can spawn outside the door. Ignore the one that will always spawn in the room and kill the one that can pop outside it as he is the true placeholder. Both Devil Mantas are on a 16 minute timer so have a stopwatch and a lot of caffeine and friends ready. The sites I use for NM's are here and here but nothing tops personal experiences which very few sites seem to offer. I've killed Charybdis around thirteen times now I think, longest camp was fifteen hours, shortest about two. For more personal experiences and info on Charybdis read here and here.

Good luck with getting it and believe me you're gonna need that. We were all so tired of it's tediousness we were exchanging his ToD with another HNM LS to lessen wasted time. I don't suggest you pop him without a group that can kill him as soon as he pops because random Rangers widescanning him and taking your hardwork has been known in the past.

With a Paladin you will need at least eight people and will have to kite it around the rocks as Mages DoT it and slowley nuke. A ranger will speed things up but if anyone pulls hate there's a strong chance they will die in "one hit" (he attacks like a Kraken Club only harder). This way will take about fourty-five minutes. Alternatively, a Ninja and a Bard can duo it but expect that to take quite a long time while remembering one slip up is all it takes for it to be over. Most efficient way I've ever killed it was as Ninja + Bard + Summoner, took about twenty minutes.
