  • So how do I start COP missions?

    I'm a lvl 41 BLM rank 5
I'm under the impression you can't do Zilart missions until you are rank 6 or so..but what about COP?
What do I do to start a mission from there and see the new kickass story?

My LS said that you need to be Rank 10 to do the CoP missions, but I personally don't know.

Don't think rank is important. Someone in my LS started it as a rank 5. All you do is Zone into Delkfutts Tower to start them

Rank is of no importance for the CoP missions. Just walk into lower delkfutts tower and bam, cutscene.

Is that sarcasm? I got Rank 5 at level 35.. That's kind of low level. Besides, they added tons of content other than the missions..

A person could get rank 5 at level 1 by leaching off of people.

It's not until the rank 5 missions that level becomes important.

Well congratulations you had your rank handed to you.

Back on topic I have been told that my friends with 4 or more have started it. So maybe rank isn't an issue at all.

To begin the Chains of Promathia storyline missions, head over to Delkfutt's Tower, where you'll experience the Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia introductory cutscene and learn about the newest plagues that threaten Vana'diel's existence.

The first mission involves Emptiness, so remember that you'll be capped at level 30.

Uh...I did it at level 32. It was a group of level 32-42s. The only thing we got high level help on was the NMs in Beadux. We started out with a level 75 showing us through Castle Oztroja but I broke off from them because it was so tediously slow and ended up getting there myself without a map.

I personally don't think anything was handed to me even though I did it at a pretty low level. We worked as a group and took all day to do it.

So think before you speak. Perhaps he did the same thing as me? But really, beyond the NMs, any level could just about do rank 5.

You get to these prov zones by using the shattered telepoints? Are they BCs, or actual zones?

They're actual zones. Me and a few LS members went running around the one through Holla.

                            Pretty neat shtuff.

                              Some advice...

Many complain about jp Euro headstart on promathia. because they wanted yo experience it themselves.
instead of looking for guides. explore around to findout how to do them.
Exploration has gave way to guides and internet.
