It's not gold Fishing skill, what the hell is that? It's Goldfish Scooping skill.

Goldfish Scooping is a game that is played during the Summerfest (or it's called Bon-Odori in Japan, think that's the right spelling :p). They'd have stalls were you can try scooping up goldfish, turtles, eel, and something else (Forgot).

The games mechanics are simple, you have a bowl and a scoop. The scoop is made up of thin rice paper that will break easily if it gets to wet. What you do is try to scoop a fish into the bowl.

That's it! If you succeed you get to take the fish home with you. Don't know much else of any prizes other then that.

I meant to say fishing skill, and a higher chance to catch gold fish..

seems like another lame thing to put in your mog house... which, if i can remind you, no one but yourself can go into! I really like the easter event cause I made about 100k selling eggs (and being annoying). And i hope the goldfish scooping game isn't super lame like fishing, and actually takes some sort of interaction... but knowing SE, probably not.

Lol, if you think you can't make money on this event then obviously you just haven't seen how. I actually tried it yesterday and making 21k per Hr, that doesn't seem to bad. After about 4hrs I had 84k, and on top of that it was threw items that weren't as volitile as the easter eggs.

Seems like you can make on this event fairly well, just have to find out how.

Nah there is gold fish scooper, and gold fish bowl, and 3 different type of Goldfish in the game.

As for when the event will commence, maybe next week?

Since the event is planned to last till August 8th (IIRC).

I wouldn't mind having goldfishes as a pet in my MH...my mog is being lazy lately and is always scracthing the bedsheets...oi...

Find an NPC in each of the starting areas near a pond/water source. S/He will sell you the goldfish items to fish and scoop the fish.
