Starburst WS

I finally got around to raising Staff since I got myself an Ice Staff, and I just learned Starburst. But it's description confuses me. It says it can do either Light or Dark damage. Does anyone know the conditions for either? Is it light/day, or effected by the moon cycles?

I tried searching for this WS but no information about how either element is triggered. >.<

True that. Almost impossible to get TP as whm...I wish we could get TP for casting cures...;-) Ima dreamer!

...and forget staff...club is the way to go--one handed so you can equip a shield or whatever, and the WS's at 100+ skill do an MP regen....not that you ever get to use it ;-)

I'm a BLM, so I don't get a sheild skill and I do really crappy damage with a club. Plus I have an ice staff and I really dont want to switch back and forth. Just wanted to know if there was some way to get either element. ~.~

One time I did a SC with my Earth Crusher in a Crawler party and everyone went off on me LOL "you should be casting spells." It's not like there was any chance for me to accidently trigger a AoE mob chain, we were in a freaking tunnel camp...

I think they were just mad cuz a taru BLM did 200+ damage with his staff

starbust is dark, sunburst is light, you get sunburst after starburst. SE got super lazy and combine the discriptions.

MNK + Stave + Full Swing WS = Lots of damage

Power to the Taru BLM Melee'rs

I do about 235 Dmg with Seraph strike at about TP:250%+
My club is at level 96 now....only 4 more to Starlight
