  • Valkurm Emporer Or leaping lizzy?

i want to camp one of these. which one?

i would like to know which one is more heavily camped and how often they pop (on average)

which one drops the items more often?

    which one would you camp?

any other really good NM's dropping 200k+ items?

when i fought emp king it was heavy packed there with alot of JP partys. when i camp lizzy it is CAMPED! ltons of ppl everywhere. so its really up to you but if your looking for a less camped place go for imp king. they both drop very good items and i would camp imp king. ummm go for the BCNM mosters for 200k items. like 40BCNM and 60BCNM. imp king is said to come every hour/half and lizzy is every 2 hour i think.

Uhh...please don't post stuff as fact when you're not sure. I know for a fact that lizzy can spawn anywhere from 5 min. to 3 hours. I've killed it 27 times with 5 drops, so I'm pretty much a veteran hunting this lizard. I've killed it a couple times 5 minutes from the previous spawn time. However, I've only killed the valkurm emperor 2 times with it dropping once (not selling this puppy). It seems to spawn less than lizzy, but I can't back that up with 100% creditability. I believe Lizzy to be more camped because low levels can kill it. Also, I wouldn't use DRK/WAR to hunt these too.

lizzy is more camped. emperor has about double the drop rate as lizzy. emperor spawns rougly about twice as long as lizzy on avg.

Yeah, Saber's right, I'm 1/2 on lizzy and that's because I bothered to wait around 15mins after the first time I killed him, bang, he popped again and I got the drop. Tbh, If you can camp lizzy between JP and NA hours then its often just you and maybe one other, but of course this requires somewhat odd sleep patterns (I'm glad cuz I'm on GMT so that naturally puts my day time between JP and NA times, although getting PTs for missions is a pain...).

As for Valkurm Emperor I've never camped it myself, but just from cruising NM related discussion boards I know he drops fairly frequently (never seen someone with a worse than 1/5 record on him) and from lvling in Valkurm I know it's pretty heavily camped (usually at least 4-5 blue name high-lvls in the area).

Good luck camping these two, tbh they're possible the two most camped NMs in the game, but for good reason.

You really think people is just gonna give you all this info? people who spend tons of time hunting these legendary beasts.

do some research damnit... there is a art to hunting the legends you cant just jump in and want all the tips and secrets... earn your stripes like the rest of us.. wait hours and hours and hours learning the prey first hand.

not like you will succeeed anway as greed motivates you... only those who love the hunt and love the competition succeed the ones motivated by money quit before they start.

if you chose Valkurm get ready to get pissed of at the JP people who have bots sitting on spawn points.

The higher the lv mob, the less people camping it.

Don't you get bored waiting for 1 mob to spawn? I really can't think of anything worse than sitting for ages waiting for something when there's a high chance that someone else will get it anyway. I know loads of people on all MMORPG's but for fuck sake find something else to do.

Yes, that is your opinion. Although, I've made more money camping NMs than you probably could have made in the same time. Thats not what he was asking either.

I remember my first time on the Bubu side of Shakrami Maze, a THF was just sitting near the Iron Door... for days and days and days. It was pretty much well known that the guy was probably a botter. He may have had a VERY fast trigger finger, but everything that spawned in that room was immediately claimed.

I believe the NM that he tried to get was Argus (sp?). Mobs that have a spawn point in a very small area are harder to camp. Well, they are harder in that it becomes a matter of "who claims it first." I THINK that the emporer has a few spawn points across a couple grids in Valkurm. Leaping Lizzy only has a few within one grid (Don't quote me on this info, because it may not be 100% accurate). So, an NM like Argus that spawns in a VERY small area, is "easier" to camp since you can just auto-target and kill everything in the room. However, something like the emporer, you can't just camp one spot because he could show up somewhere completely different.

There is a trick to it, but I'm not telling... since i don't know it  An LS member kills the emporer routinely and sells the hairpins...makes me damn jealous too. Another LS member donated the hairpin to our guild vault because she claims it is "so easy" to get it.

Yup camping is the most borring thing you can do =). I've been camping for lizzy for a few days and I have yet to be the one to kill it. I just need the freeking boots for dex cause my elv seriously needs it, the rest of these guys just in it for the money. Once I get my boots I'm never going to camp again! Serisously, I pay to play, I don't pay to work...bah!

Usually, the higher level the mob is, the less people that camp it. But that's not always true.

Sometimes Argus has 10+ people in one very small room because he only has one spawn point.

It makes it very hard to get, because it's a gamble whether you will be able to beat the level 75 jp campers there

However, it's not impossible. Try getting a pt of friends together to camp, that's what we did. We took turns sleeping... (argus spawns every 24 + or - 12 hours)

But it worked, there were many JP there who hadn't moved for days, and we still got it (our monk actually pulled it, with the ki blast ability, or whatever it is).

I would suggest doing "light" camping, never more than a few hours at a time... Argus drives people insane, literally.

Find an NM that not many people hunt, even if the item isn't worth much, it's practically guaranteed cash. I can't really suggest any, because 1) I don't know many, and 2) If people post undercamped NMs, they won't be undercamped anymore

I don't doubt it but I'd rather do something I enjoy. What can you do with the millions of gil you can get from a camped rare? Use it buy more rares other people camped, driving up the price of them even higher.

You can buy expensive crafted equipment like a Flora Cotehardie.

If it's a dropped item, you either camp it or buy it from someone who camped it.
