Level 73 Mage Body Gear /w Add refresh effects.

Anyone seen this new coat? It's sort of light-greenish / cyan kinda color and it's suitable for all mages. It has "Add refresh effects" on it.

It was my first time seeing it yesterday and I must regret I forgot to take a screenshot of it

Can someone identify this coat/doublet or whatever it is? I really like it. It's a level 73 coat/doublet and yes you can equip head gear with this.

No, it's not a royal/vermillion = red
or black / demon = black

I recall seeing EX and RARE on it. I've been doing 4 days of reserach and have found no info on this

i believe its the Dalmatica

Yes, what you are talking about is in fact Dalmatica. It is uncursed gear, and the only way you can get ahold of it is by buying the cursed armor or making it, and then fighting a hard HNM to get what is needed to uncurse it.

I would really love to have it, but that's a dream for the later levels.

Each part of the Dalmatica/Zenith series converts 50HP to MP. So, head + body + hands + legs + feet = 250MP from HP altogether. Great for Elvaan.

why does everyoen blur the names out? i mean really...its stupid considering that hundreds see their name in game everyday.

Thanks for all the feedbacks that is exactly what I saw. Looks like it's not going to be easy to get it at all.

Being a female myself I tend to care about the looks over performance. I know it's stupid.

I play as a Hume F and Quite honestly I hate all of the coats with the hood and that is why I'm still wearing my full set of RSE. They have pretty good stats and still great for mages imo. I'm not really poor in the game so I try to get everything else expensive so then I don't look so poor still using my RSE at level 56.

Things like Morion rings, Morion tathlum, Ocean belt (750,000gil T.T) etc... I own them still. But honestly, I hate the AF. I really don't want to look like a clown with that ridiculous hat.

To sum it all down bascially I'd like to look more feminine and coats /w hood just takes away all of that.

I like the Whitemage AF. The Damaltica. :D and I don't mind the blackcoat so much.

I kind of find it disappointing you don't like the WHM AF gear. I think the WHM AF looks especially good on a female characters in FFXI. In the traditional Final Fantasies of the past, a WHM was always traditionally female & the BLM was male. This is part of the reasoning anytime I get a glance of a WHM, i assume that character is a female.

Anyway... I think when you get to higher levels, you'll actually ditch your preference of aesthetics over functionality/performance. When you're high level, its pretty much assumed you're an experienced & efficient player. You should wear whatever gives you the most advantage during battle.

Every JP player I've played with has several sets of equipment (as do I) in their inventory. But they also have that 1 set of equipment that they wear just because its visually pleasing. So go ahead & buy that Vermillion Cloak or whatever armor, but that doesn't mean you have to wear it 24/7. Wear whatever you want when not battling, but when it comes to fights, at least wear whatever gives you the most advantage for your party's sake.

As for the full set of Dalmatica, I'm sure its rare. In order to get the items to uncurse them, you have to fight really tough HNMs, in addition to the gods. Even for Japanese players who have been playing for 2 years, this is still a long-term goal because they have to compete with other members of their alliance to obtain them.

NP about the pics. I have tons of requests all the time for things of that sort and I gather them as I adventure through Vana'diel.

No, its not stupid. Its called having good manners & etiquette. If you were to take a camera and take pictures of people in real life and posted them publically, some people would get mad. The same situations apply here. These screenshots are pictures of players doing certain things. It captures the experiences they go through and in some situations, it would draw more attention to them than they would want. Since it would be too much trouble to ask every one of them for permission, blurring out their names is the easiest way.

Privacy is a big deal both online & in real life. People want certain things private. I don't know if the people in my screenshots care, but I'm not going to ask every single one of them.

This is why people get pissed off if they happen to get on some random mailing list and is especially why people hate telemarketers. Some people don't want to be bothered.

That's the HNM version of Admantoise correct? You have to get the Abjuration scroll from that, or either Nidhogg (spawns from Fafnir) or King Behemoth (spawns from Behemoth). But how long does it take these things to spawn? Generally? 1-2 weeks? Since they're a lottery pop from Admantoise/Behemoth/Fafnir and those spawn only once in around every 24 or so hours from what I know...

Yeah. The picture you saw was from killing Aspidochelone, HNM ver of Adamantoise.

Adamantoise (as well as Fafnir & Behemoth) spawns every 21-24 hours. So yes, you can expect Aspidochelone, Nidhog, and King Behemoth to take 1-2 weeks to spawn. Maybe even longer (since its a % "lottery" pop).

in my experience they pop once per week (killed Aspidochelone and lost pull on King B)
