  • Inviting to a party

    Hi,
I've got a question about inviting people to parties. Often I get errors when inviting, even if I am using the menu, searching, and then inviting. Typically it's cannot process command or something similar (I can't recall the exact syntax at the moment).

This is of course extremely frustrating, and often I cannot invite properly until they are right in front of me and I can click on them. Has anyone else experienced these sort of issues, or is there a fix (or perhaps even am I doing something wrong)? Thanks!

    Best Regards,
    Alex

you're probably doing something wrong. When using search, and the players name is yellow, that means he is currently the leader of a nother party. When a player name is blue-green, that means that the person is already in a party. These two cases will return an error to you automatically. Another problem is that they are too far away. You can not use search and invite someone in windurst when you are in sandoria. More problems may include the fact that they're already logged out, but the search doesn't update very quickly so it still shows them as online. You should always talk to the person before you invite btw. I've gotten way too many invites without a /t already.

Hmmm. When inviting I only invite people with their flag up on /sea levels or class, and of course after a tell and an affirmative response from them. It's frustrating because they've said ok and I either make them sit around until it works right (maybe 1 time out of 5 doing the same request) or I have to make them come to me by grid reference.

As far as distance, it is always either half way across an area I'm in, or just inside an adjacent area. I know it's possible, as I've been invited across such distances, but my menu seems to hate me.

Or you've already invited them and they've failed to see the invite messege. You can only invite a person once, until they either press yes or no, you can't invite them for like a period of 3 minutes or something like that.

From my experience you must be in the same conquest region for invites to work. For instance, you can't invite anyone in a city because it's another "region"
