Best way to setup up and down menu movment for the PS2 controller on PC.

I am having problems controlling up and down movement in menus. Is there a way to set one of the sticks for up and down movement thru the menus and still be able to use that stick to navagate?

Possibly a button you could press and hold to actuivate the menu movement?

I would use the directional pad for menu movement, but it does not work in analog mode for some weird reason unless analog is turned off.

Can someone tell me why the directional pad works in playonline with analog mode turned on and not in FFXI lol. Is there a way to use the directional pad in FFXi while in analog mode?

start > programs > play online > ffxi > config

I just hit default settings in the gamepad section for mine and it workes fine, make sure to test all the buttons and things out before you go in game. Getting it set up is a little tricky at first (had the analog sticks backwards @.@ at first), but just play with the settings and eventually it'll work
