anybody else having slow time with update patches for playonline viewer?

It started out great, but my "time remaining" has been constantly increasing!

I'm in the same boat... POL wants to blame my router, despite the ports all being configured properly... anyone with computer knowledge who could help out here would be great... As a diagnostic start, I'm on a cable modem routed through a Linksys Wireless router. THanks a bunch... POL's being less than helpful.

It is not you as I have the same problem. Half way through downloading a .dat file it stops, I get the Network Error bit and then I have to retry. This has to be the worst Patch Program. I mean when you retry it has to redownload the Information, then it goes through all 7000+ files again before it even starts downloading.

I have basically just given up on it for the night.

I haven't had any problems other then this 2 hour wait for the last patch of 1293 files. All of the other patches came in less then a minute except for the 7000+ patch that took about 10 minutes.

Hope you guys get it figured out.

Anyone here that can help me with this problem? I get 3/4 into connecting to ff11 then I get this.

Sqaure has finally pissed me off..

I'm a happy guy, but this is re-god-damn-diculous.. pardon my french..

It's going to take me 8 and half hours!! I can't wait that long!!! Sqaure what have you done! This is the first time I've ever been this pissed... Oh well... I'll just try it on the weekend...

New patch my a$$... Why? I can't afford dial-up and they do this to me? Square!!!!!

I'm having a hell of a time as well and I'm on my university's network! No errors yet, but it says 4:30 hours left! Could anyone tell me what ports the game uses as well as the patch server?

Wow I guess SE didn't expect so many people to connect on the NA launch day. Such incredibly fast servers and yet it's not enough, wow.

ooo i dont get it how can it take so long to dl the patch?

as soon as i got the game even though i gota wait tioll the weekend for my parents to go home to use a credit card i installed it and downloaded the patch it only took about 45 minits to 55 minits.
