  • Sneak vs. Deodorize vs. Invis, etc.

Sneak prevents you from being heard
Deodorize prevents you from being smelled
Invis prevents you from being seen

I was wondering about the effectiveness of these spells and what kind of situations one could use these in. Do you have to use all of them together to go somewhere unscathed? Or maybe certain ones work in certain zones only? Thanks.

    WHM experience~

Usually for most creatures, I use either sneak or Invisi. Like with gobu, I use invisi, as that works best especially since they can see better at night. I use sneak generally around orcs, or both. When in doubt I use sneak and invisi, though I dont think I've used deodor except for the Evil Weapons when going through the cave from Jueno. Just make sure you don't cast near them, since they have magic sensitivity. >.< I got my PT attacked that way, but they were very forgiving after we had to kill the Evil Weapon. as i know
invis make you invisible. some enemies that use eyes will not be able to see you
sneak make you move quietly. you can avoid a lot of enemies that "sense" you instead of looking at you.

funny thing is a lot of enemies have eyes. but they can detect invis but not sneak. quadav for example have eyes but you need sneak for them.

deode is getting rid of your smell. Im not sure which enemies use nose but.... when you run around in dungeons with your HP down below orange zones some enemies might attack you even with sneak/invis on. I guess they smell your blood or something...
