Down with FFONLINE.com?

all of us talking about final fantasy XI and waiting for it's North American release are having fun and making the game more to look forward to but we're all forgeting one thing.

Our beloved site!

What will happen to it when we all get ffxi?! My guess is that it will be very rarely used. It wont have nearly as many posts as it does now. People will not talk about ffxi with that same magic as they do now when it hasn't been realeased in NA which is where the majority of us live. All because we will all be too busy playing the game and doing things that we need to do to live.

I know thats how it'll be for me, I probably wont touch my pc for at least six months. Maybe if im having trouble with something in the game i will come here but i must say it'll be pretty difficult getting an answer if what i predict happens.

doubt that, i have the game, i play quite a bit, still have time to post and talk to all u here^^ hehe
also im pretty sure this is gonna be the most up-to-date fansite (not to mention the most popular) and it'll ahve all the news and latest info etc. This'll be the place that ppl come to, cos we all know, offcial sites tend to suck. they dont have all the info that u want, lol

Full NA section with own forum would be set up by that time... I'm still debating either to go full import only site or make it both it really depends on how much time i can spend

as for playing the game and not able to come here... :sweat: That will be tough... :sweat: When i first started to play, even i didn't visit the forums so often

I really doubt this site will die down a crap load. People will be wanting to show off their characters and weapons. Also, people may have alot of questions about it.

Hmm I suspect the screenshot section will be swamped with people showing off their characters, equipment, etc.

I'll still come in here, because this is just a great community, and it would be a shame to see it flounder. I think if anything there will be more people in here, asking questions, telling where they are at, sharing stories, lots of good things.

i guess by "down with ffxionline", i mean it will no longer be the same site. More of a site for people who play the game to talk about their experiences rather than what it is now. The site's name should be changed in this situation to something like "ffxichat.com" or " ffxipalyerslounge.com" etc...

Maybe all of us (who dont already have the game) should try and make sure we are all on the same server if that is possible. I recall someone saying that all u have to do is this.

When you create your character, and your done, the game will tell you what server you will be put into. If it's not the one we agree to join, delete your character and make an idetical one all over again until you will be put into the server of our preference. If this would work (and im not sure it will) it will take a while to do, but we can all play together. Huh? Is that a good idea or will it not work?

But i think everything will be great...just cahnged..instead of 1000 ppl wanting the game..there will be 1000 ppl asking for help, asking what sub class they should be...asking if anyone is on the server they are

i do think the journal sections will die down tho...cause if you play the game, you dont wanna read about other ppl playing it

Umm.... This site will only get more packed when the game comes here to NA. Especially if Ping updates info about the NA version as well. =)
