but dont confuse your pessimism with knowledge. its 'possible' he has friends who pat him on the back, same way its POSSIBLE he hides this side of his game actions from everyone around him. u sound hurt TheGrandMom, thats how ppl become so pessimistic in the 1st place. but im not there yet, plz dont try to drag me down to where u are and what u believe.

Unfortunately, I also agree with TGM [yoshi]. You're starting to see life as it is sometimes...

Kick and scream all you want; more power to ya. But, when you made the decision that your Real-Life engagements and Shun's In-Game engagements were more important than waiting for a proper transaction of your equipment, regardless of verbal agreement, you made a bad decision.

First, you obviously didn't know this person besides talking to him for a couple minutes after a lengthy Lower Jeuno /sh session of trying to sell your club, or however the situation came about. There's your first mistake. If something is THAT important/VALUABLE, wth would you trust it to someone you don't know.

Secondly, you made the decision to throw caution into the wind and GIVE AWAY the item before full payment was made, instead of waiting until proper arrangements could be made. Like [yoshi] said, noone buys a car without paperwork taken care of. If a business gives credit to someone, they have collateral. You had nothing but a name and a Chat-Log.

Thirdly, and hopefully finally, you can't expect GM's and SE to fix YOUR mistake. That would be asking them to fix every mistake that everyone makes in the game. This was YOUR personal decision. Should GM's fix it everytime someone places a High Gil Item on the AH for 100gil so it sells faster, but then feel cheated out of Gil? Should they fix it if a player drops / throws one of their High Value Items by accident? If so, they should be able to rewind time and fix that accidental casting of Firaga on White Lizards in Yhutunga Jungle.

My point is this:
YOU made the decision to trust someone that you didn't even know. You handed over something that is of EXTREME value, without considering the consequences. You can rant and whine all over your server until even LJ quits shouting back at you, but you're going to accomplish nothing more than making yourself look foolish.

Once again, I honestly feel for you. You trusted someone in a game that's supposed to fun and got burned bad. But, you're fighting a losing battle by wasting your energy on fighting this. Learn the lesson that comes from this and move on with your life.

ur rite TheGrandMom, u cant MAKE anyone believe anything. but u CAN 'TRY to drag them down to what u believe'. and u can be succesful in dragging them down. of course state ur opinion, just as i make my request: plz dont try to drag me down, its not helpful to the situation. Jei was helpful to the situation. iv 'seen' plenty 'in my day' as well, just because i havnt lost the hope doesnt mean im a youth. one's end result need not be as pessimistic as urs, i choose and have chosen to maintain my 'optimism'.

thank you Jei for ur info, THAT is helpful and on point. as far as my actions accomplishing anything.. here is what my actions have accomplished to date: Shun was original ldr of original StarSept LS. the char has notoriety some JP circles; some lean towards honor, most to dishonor. but no one can say if their knowledge/xp of/with Shun applies to the orginal gamer, or after Sao took over the accnt. so now looking for further info on Shun, Bstarz, and/or Sao. keepingin mind their ties with StarSept's history. all u gotta do is keep an eye/ear out.. chat with ur ls or pt about it. nvr knows who's listening~

No one tried to do anything to you. You posted your private problem on a public forum and you got replies that you didn't like. Thats about it. Too bad, blunt honest answers are a part of life.

Just reading your posts shows you are young. Your grammer, your punctuation, your sentence structure and your attitude tell a lot about you. Are you ashamed to be young? I never said it was a bad thing but for some reason you seem to think it is.

I've lost hope? I didn't know you knew me that intimately. Maybe its not that I lost hope but that I've gained knowledge.

But you did give it to him, you had to or you wouldn't be here. You put it into the trade box and you hit ok. You gave it to him. You did throw caution to the wind. You've stated that "i covered my ass as much as i thot i would have to,...", so that indicates you had thought he might rip you off. But instead of erring on the side of caution you "threw caution to the wind". But you are right, your choice, your burn. But when you post on a public forum your going to run into people who would not throw caution to the wind and for good reason! So basically people like that can not be sympathetic to your cause.

SE is not going to go around holding every single gamers hand when they make a bad decision. You made a bad decision. Yes it was yours to make and thats fine but then own it. Don't go running to SE because they saw money exchange hands when the item did, to them you sold it. They may go to him and ask him to give you more money or try to pressure him to do it but the end result is probably nothing you'll ever see or know about. They just do NOT violate their policy on that.

No one told you to hang your head in shame, you were given the facts. It sounds like your angry about what happened. Where is that anger channeled? Since you can't channel the majority of it to the guy you sold the Kraken Club to, then who are you angry with? Yourself. Greed is a part of human nature. When you made this deal you knew that and you also knew there was a chance you could get ripped off, you've basically stated it yourself. So the guy did what you anticipated and now your angry, angry with yourself. There is good anger and bad anger. Good anger is when we get angry about something, work through it, and learn from it. Bad anger is when we internalize it and lash out at others and never resolve it. So realize your anger towards yourself, move on, and learn from it. You made a mistake, big whoopie! I'm sure you'll make plenty more in your lifetime!

To me it sounds like your saying you don't deny responsibility but in your heart you do. You see yourself as 10% at fault for this when you really hold a lion's share of the blame but won't acknowledge it. (Note areas above in bold.) Its evident since your running around saying this guy is a jerk for doing this and looking for sympathy and a way to ruin his name. In the end, you may get a few people to "shun" Shun ( ) but in the end you don't come out looking too good either.

I was super lucky with my mercurian kris. The price goes for 40m on my server but I put it in by bazaar for 40k. I didn't realized it until it was already sold. To a japanese.
I blamed my stupidity and already give up hope. But I talked to him and he was so kind, took his time to come see me and gave my kris back. Didn't even let me give him reward.
I almost cried.

ok, u say ur not 'trying anything' TheGrandMom. i disagree, i believe there to be a part of u that IS trying to drag the situation towards one of hopelessness. a simple disagreement that can be dropped.

what most of this forum has said has been offpoint, and THAT is what bothers me. im as blunt as they come and i appreciate 'bluntness'. but bluntness is only useful if the person is in denial in some way, and only if they ask. there is no denial to me.. i take more than 10% responsibilty for what happened. if breaking it down will help get over the 'pointing fingers' phase of this board: 52% idd, 47% Shun, 1% misc stuff that i know better than to 'assign'.

my sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation are all creative choices i make, and actually say nothing accurate about me hehe. the way i communicate online is an 'art' i like to enjoy, a 'character'. my attitude on the other hand, sure says alot about me. n i dont deny that u (TheGrandMom) are perceptive enough to read it almost accurately. for example, u were ALMOST accurate when u percieved 'shame'.. but what u actually saw was a little defensiveness when u brought 'my day' into the matter. as if ur age definitely makes u wiser. i respect age and the wisdom it brings, but it is not uncommon for someone to take a 'wrong turn' on the path of life and end up with 'tainted wisdom'. im not saying this is the case with u TheGrandMom. im simply saying i'll trust my knowledge and beliefs over yours for the moment (i seem to think youth is a bad thing..? waaay off w).

knowledge replaces innocence and ignorance, not hope. the knowledge uv gained has nothing to do with the hope i would say uv lost. i can be mistaken, but i will choose to believe it for the moment none-the-less. lost hope enough that u dont even try to be constructive about the situation. im not in denial about where 'fault' lies, nor does finding the fault accomplish anything towards my goal. ie: anything towards assigning blame and finding fault is useless n pointless. as is a whole lot of our exchange back n forth.. >_< w. but, like u said, i dont know u.. so dont let any 'conclusions' i come to about ur character affect u right? i dont know u, nor do i think i do. i only know that uv offered nothing constructive nor productive.

there is a difference between 'giving it away' and 'giving it to him'. i did NOT 'give it away', i DID give it to him (under the false pretenses of his lie). no i didnt think he would rip me off, i was 'covering my ass' jus cuz its what one should do (the car dealership analogy). i was completely surprised when he didnt keep his end of deal, and gave him 2more days to communicate any extenuating circumstances jus cuz im that understanding (or foolish, u can choose ur word). caution wasnt thrown to the wind. maybe in some ppl's eyes i threw it to the wind, but thats relative. i WAS cautious, it wasnt throw to the wind. i just wasnt as cautious as some ppl would have been, which is fine. im not asking for sympathy, im asking for info. an eye or an ear out for Shun, Bstarz, or Sao. u (the ppl that WOULD have been more cautious) COULD be sympathetic to the situation, u just choose not to be, thats fine. whole point is to get closer to where u dont HAVE to be so cautious, cuz life n the game are more fun when u dont have to keep ur guard up all the time.

again, as i said to PotentPotables (not u TheGrandMom).. i dont expect SE to hold hands n fix little mistakes or errors in judgement. i expect them to maintain the environment they said they would, to the best of their ability. an environment of trust that is part of the gaming community (SE's words, not mine). and they HAVE taken actions to these ends, returning stolen items etc. my decision was based on trusting someone's lie (and omg i DO own it..), that is what puts this under a more serious category that SE DOES and should continue to do something about. as far as privacy policy.. dont have to tell me what was done to him, can be as simple as telling me what kinds of things they DO do, just to know what 'best of their ability' is out of curiosity. (again, most of that last post was to PotentPotables, THATS where the liz thing came from LOLOLOLOL >_>)

am i angry? of course i am. i channel it towards the person who wronged me: the person behind Shun. i channel it towards finding, collecting, and making known everything i can about him. attach a rep to the person that could have any # of effects. the end result remains to be seen. im not angry with myself /sigh, u dont know me. sure i have the lil part of me thats like 'do'h, im such an idiot'.. but being mad at myself does nothing. i CAN channel it towards him, and i am. i know about human nature tyvm. i recognize greed/self-preservation/self-perpetuation as positive things. want as much as u want to want, work for n get it. deceit isnt a natural part of human nature, deceit is a choice.

yea this 'could' happen, i knew it 'could happen' of course. same as i know lightning 'can' strike me at the same spot, twice.. doesnt mean u anticipate or expect it. u take reasonable measures to safeguard it, as i DID. thats why im not as 'angry with myself'. u speak of anger expressed positively and negatively.. yet u dont recognize someone right in front of u, doing exactly that. i AM working thru it, this wont happen to me again. but i go further as to try and affect a change so that it will not happen to anyone else that may want to be as trusting as i like to be either. maybe ppl like Shun will think twice if they have to start a whole new set of characters, or just quit game.

its not internalized, so there is little to no lashing out, and it will be resolved when i am satisfied i have done all i can. when there is no more anger to drive these actions and words forward. then i will move on, having made known to ppl all i can about Shun, so that OTHERS might learn. and i'll look forward to the next REAL learning xp in my life hehe, this xp has little to offer me except to make me harder and colder, which isnt something i choose for myself atm.

for the record, once and for all: im not after sympathy, ty none-the-less to those of u that DO sympathize, u offer me more than anything TheGrandMom has offered me thus far heh.

It's obvious you're of that age or mindset that there is no reasoning with so I won't bother you anymore. Just answer me these few questions:

Did the GM's contact you because they took action?
What action did they take against this "criminal"?
Did you get any gil or the item back yet?
Have you shamed this person right off the server yet?




Have you really gained anything for all the negative energy you've spent on this person?

yea, i AM of that mindset.. pretty determined but im not really sure uv tried to 'reason' with me, other than to let me know i put myself in this pos (which i always knew) and convince me its hopeless (which i refuse to believe for the moment hehe).

1: mm no they nvr contacted me after my initial report, took my 'statement' and said gbye basically. itd be good to know why they cant do anything tho.. is PoL msg of the deal not enough? (still need to talk to customer service about stuff like that)

2: against Shun, i dont know.. as u said, i guess its violation of privacy maybe for them to tell me what, if anything, has been done with regards to the situation. but then how do others know of ppl going to the Gaol for having stolen from them etc..?

3: nope, no gil or item of course.. or thisd all be over....

4: i might have already shamed the Shun char 'off the server' with my 1st round of shouts. when he asked me to stop shouting the 1st time and set a time to complete our deal, then he never set a time, THEN i caught him online and met up with him to make everything as ez as possible on him.. he tried to scam me again (asked for the 1st part of payment back, then he would run to MH and get the club to return to me). i told him id wait until we could make the trade at the same time, 'i have already been a fool for you once Shun, i will not be a fool again'. he laughed, said he'd sold the club, and was going to retire the char. which leaves me looking for any/all other chars tied to the person, he can retire them too~

5: i have gained some information, a direction to channel the energy, exorcised a majority of it from myself, and feel overall better about the situation because im doing something about it. what else i may gain remains to be seen. even if what im doing accomplishes nothing that anyone else would value.. i value it. n thats all one needs yea? m(. .)m

P.S.: i really havnt spent all that much energy on him, imo. id say iv spent more on u so far TheGrandMom w
