Need help guys

Hey on triel im trying to raise her cooking ability, lst night taco tried to help me with the recipe for corn.
okay its 1 fire crystal and 1 million cron= roast corn.
the problem i have is that when i put the items in the window i start with th e crystal then with the corn hit the ! button then nothing. it pisses me off that i cant cook but i can do m alchemy fine.
its wierd is all anybody please tell me what im doing wrong thankee much.

Okay, ~

Step one: hit Ctrl+I for inventory:

Step two: Select one of the crystals in your inventory:
a small window with 8 slots should come up.

Step three: Click on an empty slot in the window:
This will allow you to now select an item to "put into the crystal."

Step four: repeat step three untill you have a sufficient amount of itmes necessary in the small window.

Step five: Click on green "!".

I think this is it, but since I can't get on untill the weekend I cant be completly sure.

The roasted corn uses a fire crystal for step two and 1 set of Million corn for step three. So when you have the small window open you should only put in the corn and that's it. ^_^ ganbare~!!~
