Troopers Gen 1 2 and 3

The way I see it, there are currently three generations of troopers.

The founders; like Met, Daihamlop, Ching2, Estya, Rishuu, Angrysteel, Chromheart, etc. They are the first generation IMT.

The betweeners like Reihn, Spyke, Tayko, Triel, Lanativul, Battra, Sharm, Poppi, myself (and far too many others to list) are the gen X'rz, the new breed.

Finally, there are the new tier of beginning characters, (although some are higher level than me LOL). There are far too many to name them all, but Firesped, Saito, McCoulick, WingWing, Lunis, and the rest of the newer players make up what seems to me from my perspective, anyways, to be the third and newest generation of players.

The point I want to make with this IMT hierarchal tree is that as a second gen player, having received lots of help from my own peers as well as LARGE VOLUMES of help from the founders; well I just want to say: Thank you. I hope that one day we can all be lvl 70 peers

I've been finding myself in a position to help other players more lately, and it simply made me reflect on the help I've received, so I wanted to issue a public thank you for answers to silly questions, tolerating no prep work before assisted Mission outings and Crags I didn't know needed to be touched. Thank you for menu navigation, directions to obscure places, where to purchase maps and all the other little things that are done daily by many people to help make our linkshell great.

When the NA version comes out; you couldn't PAY me to be on Ragnarok nor on any NA server. I've found my friends and found a community of truly helpful people. I hope I can help others in the same spirit that you've all helped me.

Even though I don't say it enough, and Balth has opened the opportunity to do so, I would like to take this time also to thank everyone for the help they have given me.
I know myself all to well, and I am quite aware that at times I can be annoying, whiney, bothersome, and downright dumb. To all those, Especially Chrom and Estya, for when I was starting off I'd like to say "Thankyou very much for putting up with me."
Especially for all the patence that has been spent on me and for those who laugh at my silly jokes.
I've always thought of the IMT as my home even the first day I got my Link Perl from Chrom, and I could never think of leaving Ramuh because of all the people I have gotten to meet. I can only hope that I don't annoy you all too much so that you would not want me anymore. Words could never express how much love I have for you all and how much I truly to appreciate your help, kindness, and friendship.
Last but not least I want to thank, Balth, for reminding me that when Thankyou's aren't expected, they are always needed.

Some nit picky details from my own foggy memory. I'm not sure when Met started the LS but I think he, Ching2, Daih, Chrom and Goobers were among the first few members with some of the other HK people. GT brought in people like Daig and Bat and somewhere along the line they ran into Met and company. Orko was on before me and I think ran into Daig and company.

Personally, I started in November around the same time as Bat, Ham, and Triel/Riesa. I ran into Rishuu or rather other way around as he overheard me talking to someone in English /say mode. Going by levels isn't too accurate a gauge since alot of people level alot faster than others, while some of the 'older' members don't have alot of time to play.

Anyhoo, I like this bunch for the most part and have no reason to completely leave. ^^

Fun, so does that make me the longest playing character in my generation? I've been playing since somestime in Feburary I think. I got up to lvl 8 in whm without any help before I decide to seek out the IMT a month or so after I started playing.

I met rikapi when i stood in bastok market and yelled in japanese does anyone speak english.
Then daigoro gave me the first pearl.
From that time I had such a good time , I enjoyed logging on and doing the missions .
You guys helped me so much, I am now in a position to help the new and the old, Even though I am in a few other LS and have gotten some of you in those LS's, IMT is my home .. Not because you guys speak english, but because I know you and we laugh at alot of things.
After I came back from a long hiatus due to diabetes, It was hard to stay logged on cuz I was tired and I pretty much forgot how to play, You guys helped me get back in the game. Thx abunch.
The best part was the day I came back online, Hamzip ,soon as he logged on asked if I was online and was okay. I felt like he actually cared, Thats what its about, not just the game BUt what takes place in and outside of it and the personal relationships. Remember FInal fantasy is all about Friendship and companionship, This game would fail it that was not the case.
It'd be just another online game.

Well I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped me (Ya know who you are ) It's been great on Ramuh, espically being able to play with such nice people. I may be playing the NA version on an english server when it comes out (not sure but I do want to know what's going on hehe), but I shall leave Konnie on Ramuh at least and pop in now and then.

Heh, well bein' a supposed Gen 1, I've been around for a while and seen a lotta people come and go. Well, more come than go but you know what I mean. I was on Ramuh for a couple weeks before I really knew anyone... it was Puppet who decided to be my first friend on there (even though she doesn't understand a word of English, I can't believe nobody's given her an honorary LS! :p). Well actually, there was a guy before Puppet (the first guy I talked to in-game) named Syoutokutaishi, but he has since disappeared. :sweat: Then when I posted on here about if there were any other Ramuh players, after a week Gubebe was the one to answer my call and invite me into IMT. It's really hard to believe I've been playing for over a year now!

Anyways, a big thanks goes out to all the people who've helped me become the powerful Black Mage that I am today.

I definatly owe thanks also. I started talking to kel about 2 weeks before I got the game and she invited me to IMT. Now I'm proud of the amount of Japanese I know but after about 30 seconds of playing without IMT I was fairly sure it was going to be impossible. But then Met gave me a LS (an action I'm sure he at least partially regrets ^^) and Vana'diel opened up to me. You guys answered all my questions and still do to this day. Thanks for making this possible, and a special thanks to kelenae, firesped, wingwing, and triel, you 4 are the reason I was able to learn how to play!

As for me, obviously my story is a little different than most people here.

I actually knew a lot of you a little bit before you ever knew me..haha. Watching Battra play for hours on end, I knew a tiny bit about how to play the game. I never really played JP games, always content to wait until I could actually read what was going on. But seeing him play all the time, it started to seem more and more like I didn't want to wait.

Of course, it wasn't helping matters that he and GT would blather on about the game in front of me. I think the final straw was when we were over at GT's house and the two of them went on for about 2-3 hours while I fell asleep on GT's couch because I couldn't change the subject no matter HOW hard I tried. ^^ Kind thought, geez if this game has THAT much to talk about that they're still going and haven't repeated themselves, maybe there's something to it.

So I made Haiku, on Battra's PS2, and I think I got her to level 6 before I made the decision that I had to get this game for myself. Tax refund check came in, and we bought another PS2, HDD, and copy of FFXI. Now Haiku is destined to forever remain a level 8 RDM with no SJ and missing half the spells a RDM can use..hehe. And is my identical twin.

Obviously, I've had a lot of help from the LS over time. Too numerous to name, but I really think EVERYONE has helped me with something at one time or another, and of course I really appreciate it. I think I've probably gotten the most help from Estya, Chrom, Ching2, Daih, Rishuu..umm..forgetting someone..Anyway, regardless of this NA controversy and LS members being certain that half or more of the American players are going to jump ship, Ramuh will always have a Battra and a Shar as long as there is an IMT. ^^

Well, if it helps ease minds, when the NA version comes out, I am importing 3 new players to the linkshell and Mccoulick, Saito and myself shall make a triumphant return to Ramuh and all of you.
