Request for help with genkai 1 - bomb item

Can someone please help me with genkai 1 bomb item? Or if you can come up with some good plan for a Lv50 THF to solo that'll do as well. Doesn't matter if I die, cause it's pointless to be stuck at Lv50 without genkai 1 completed.

I'll tell ya now...you can't solo it...

you'll at least need a high level and someone who can sneak you...

the bomb isn't all that difficult, it all those freakin' bats on the way you have to look out for

You need at least 4 people to open the gate into the bomb place. After that, all you need is a BST to tame the bats and set the bats to attack the bomb. Easy victory.

When I was doing that quest, I sub lvl1 BST with my WHM and tame the bats to attack the bomb, easy drop. But now, since the patch required BST to be high enough to tame the bats, I am not sure if you can sub BST and tame it. It was very easy back then, but not it's hard.:sweat:

How about SMN? If they sent a summon to fight it, would the bomb explode on it? Also, I heard you can sleep the bomb when it is about to blow then kill it, is it wrong? If you're organizing a trip, I'd like to join in, I need all 3 items :sweat:

hmm, i think getting a bst to charm bats is the best solution (will smns work too??), i tried soloing that bomb with about 15 fire resist, and i couldn't run fast enough when it exploded (had target locked coz forgot it blows up.... /slaps myself) and i had 15 hp left ^^ from 1200+, hehe, so fighting it could be dangerous ^^

this is zoeybtw. lonewolfy needs bomb item too tried to get it for him ealeir today he was also willing to die for it but miss communciation in pt got another blm to escape but no worries. He has needed it forever poor thing. I will go with him to bomb if maybe get 2 other and you two stand near bomb and us far away unless they dont care to die too = get item. Unless can get beast.

oosh is already bst 50, he said the bats are likely to be tsuyo to him. tails levelled down to pld59 after helping a bunch of them get the bomb item.

Tsuyo bats can be tamed, but the charmed time will be around 1 min. May not be enuff time to rid the bomb. Unless use 2hr.
The best is to get some high lvl pple to take on the bomb. lol Tails is a taru, not enuff Hp:spin:

bombs are dangerous they exploded so many times and we died or came close to dying alot

also, we had quite atime killing the explosure

Strangely, the explosure is a lvlling monster for BST at level 49-50, checked sources. But, the tamed pets is citadel bats, and not funnel bats (tsuyo ~ tote). To fight the bomb, required 2~ 3 citadel bats, which can be hairy. I can go, if Helba and Ariele needs it, and I want to try on them anyway for gaining levels.
