if you read the ingame post on the summoner job... the requirements is LV 40 BLM & WHM (unconfirmed) so if you are in the fighter classes then you'll have to level them up...
other jobs are said to be only available with the expansion areas

im behind jonny on that one..... no way in hell it would involve the outer areas. square said that we could get summoner without expansion.... so LOOK FOR THAT NPC FOLKS!~!

Mage is not a requirement to get summoner job. It is just like the other adv. jobs :sweat:

I know i'm not the highest in levels but i'd love to join - i will be level 30 by the time the states get's the expansion. I'm really after Samurai personally but if my helps needed for other quests that's fine. So yeah, if you feel i can help and u dun mind me tagging along i'd more than love to earn my Sammy heh - who knows maybe i'll earn others as well just to have heh.
