Drain is a good spell??

I have a little question for black mage:

Drain is a good spell?

Because I have the money to purchase it, but I'll go drastically down with my gil!!

it's a okay spell when you don't have WHM subbed

just save your money and do the quest later
the amount of MP spent (51) only gets you around 40-50 HP back depending on your skill.

Don't buy it, at your level you should save for the next strong offensive spell.

There's a quest to get it, and by the time you can do that quest, Drain would probably be useful for those days you go out hunting as BLM30+/THF15+ for more money.

Only get it if you have a lot of money to blow. Im a level 50 drk and when I use drain, I get around 20-40hp back about 1/3 of the time. Now, by the time I can actually swing again, the monster usually takes away about 50+HP from me so practically I wasted a precious turn getting HP but then just loosing it again just as fast as I got it. Id rather use that turn and get a swing in instead. It's a horrible spell really; just get it if you got the money to blow. Same goes from my 31 blm again, practically the same situation, just a waist of 51MP :/
