LV66 THF/NIN looking for set PT.

Just as the topic states. I'm a LV66 THF/NIN, 3k tnl. I've got the typical THF-y good gear; Assault Jerkin already ready to strap on at 67. Thing is, unless I get a set, I've just not got the attention span anymore to seek for 4-10 hours anymore. Hoping a set will pull me out of WoW, and push my THF to 75. Plenty of free time, able to do almost any PT schedule. Would optimumly like to have a RNG as a second DD, so Light is an option. DRG is doable do, but RNG preferred. NIN or PLD tank, doesn't matter to me. I've got Assassin, and I know how to use it.

So please, if you're in a set looking for that 6th, or want to start a set to slam to 70+, reply here.

I'm gonna talk to some pplz, we been lookin for a thf for our set PT, were lvl 65 almost 66 atm, we've got some fag who is a freind of one of my other freinds and hes subbin thf I was like "wtf d00d u suck lets get a REAL THIEF!" so he told me to find one lmao. our set up is WHM, RDM, BRD, NIN, SAM *me* and this gimp WAR whos subs thf! HE F**KIN UP TEH PT!

Ehh, i normally don't like the idea of flagging for PTs on the forums or asking for a set but man... last 4 attempts at flagging samurai have all lead to 4 nights without an invite. So if you need a level 68 Samurai (anyone who reads this), feel free to give me a tell any time -

Aye. I'm normally against this myself, but to be honest, I've lost every shred of motivation to login and sit LFP for 6-10 hourse while I watch TV. WoW is too much fun, minimizable without a goddamn broken windower, and easy enough to log in/out in a hurry that it ruins FFXI for me.

So if you seriously want me in your set party, please respond HERE. I don't know when I'll be "in-game" next. Not logging in unless I've got something to DO, and I don't consider my thumb up my ass in Jeuno for 6 hours "something to do".

(and don't give me the 'go farm' crap, as I've got enough gil to do what I need, and seriously, find me one worthy farming spot on the server now. I dare you.)

Ask PT leaders if there pt is full...takes 5 mins an if it fails then log off >.>. No harm in that.

Eh.. there is but isn't harm in that.

You're right in the fact that it's a fairly unobtrusive way to possibly find a party.

But, and maybe I'm alone in this, I'd much rather get a party based on a few criteria.

A: They wanted a THF. - Really don't wanna be let into a party by someone who is kind enough to pity my plight, but then resent my being there the whole time.

B: They wanted ME personally. - I really figued after a year of playing I'd made enough friends and a big enough "social impact" that I'd get PT invites based off my merits and my play style. Obviously I was wrong.

Not slamming your idea at all, and I appreciate all constructive ideas like that, but in this case, it's kinda not my style.

only reason I got half assed invites lvl 50-61 for my Samurai (then got to my set) is because I got the invite over other samurais cuz of ...~~~connections~~~ *passes the heroin under the table*

I'm with Anna on this one. When I look for parties on other jobs or for merit points on Black Mage, I prefer partying with people who want me and know I'm not a phuckup random BLM with no knowlege of any class or any skill at all... usually why I turn down JP invites (well, that and the fact that, in my experience, most JP don't expect it to happen).

Anyways, yeah it's weird that with your skill you don't get many invites Anna, as THF is one of the first jobs I check for availability when forming my own PT. One thing you could do that worked for me, is not find an entire PT to set with, but 1-2 people that are willing to start up a PT with you for a couple days (/poke Nodachi). That's how I got from 60-75... wasn't fast but was definitly constant and more fun than sitting there, wasting my night away in LS chat. XD

Now you can heed my old words, Noda.. 67-71 = toughest times for a Sam (imo). WTF am I doing here? Ah well.. TRUTH has been spoken.
