Sorry, I know this is a horrible newb question, but...

How exactly do you use the AH? I know how to browse the system to show what I want, but how do I actually buy or bid on the item or whatever? After I click on the item I want, it gives me three options... the first one takes me to a screen that just has some japanese text and nothing happens, the middle option is dimmed, and and the bottom option just takes you back... is there somethign else i'm supposed to be doing?

On another note, why do I see so many newbies near the SD AH begging for Gil? I'm only Level 14, but everything I have on me i've worked for myself, and not once have I ever asked to borrow gil or anything... I think it's more rewarding that way.

ok, for the three options..
the first one is to view the transaction by other ppl recently. So that, you can know how much gils you need in order to buy the item.
the second option is to input the money to bid for the item.
the third is cancel option (or go back).

so, you will need to choose the first option and see how much you need to bid the item. Then choose the second option and input the proper amount of gils.

I thought the third choice was to set the order they came up in? Like in order by Damage or Level. And then the Fourth option is go back.

Sindinista is right about the third option... it is the sort...
Even tho I dun remember there is a 4th, I usually just escape...
