On March 15, 1990 we were given a beautiful blond blue eyed baby named Matthew. He was always happy and very giving. He had a heart of gold never wanting to hurt anyone. He loved his life, and his family and friends. He always wanted to be the best at what he did. From Gymnastics, School, Drawing, sports, anything, he loved especially video games. He had
a very competitive streak especially towards his brother. He had to be number 1.
He was a wonderful son.
He had very bad experiences in middle school and I took him out Last February. FFXI was his salvation.
He had finally found a school he liked and was very happy. I am going to let you read his
last essay and you will see he was happy.
Why Deciding to Change Something in Your Life is Important
By: Matthew Hohmann
I’ve made some decisions in my life that have made me change. I remember almost every little change I’ve ever made in my life, but I only have time to tell you the major ones.
I remember about a month ago I was going to McHi. I was tired of the peer pressure, and all around of public school. You’d have no freedom whatsoever, nor to do as you please. Now I’m able to concentrate more better in school, which to me is worth everything. Another important thing I remember is when my doctor diagnosed me which ADD. This has to be one of the most important reasons because this explained why I was slacking off and my grades had dropped. The doctor gave me a medication that was made for this type of problem. After about a week of taking it, everything just seemed to make more sense, and I could comprehend everything a lot better. And finally the last major difference I’ve made in my life is changing my attitude. Before I’d always feel sorry for myself, o r be mean towards others for no reason at all. After I had a talk with my friend it seemed he’d agreed with my judgment. So I decided to lighten up.
There will always be more changes in your life or even mine, just live your life to the best way that you can. This will improve the way you feel about your life, and others.
I want to thank everyone for their posts. This has been
a very hard time for our family and his friends. Matthew
spent alot of time playing this game and I don't want any
ill feelings among his friends. We are all very sad and I know he is in a better place, but we are the ones hurting. I can't look back and think of one thing I regret
doing during his short life. He will always be 14 to me sitting at his computer
or yelling at me because it was freezing or turning off.
Again thanks for the posts. Please do not be mean to his friend Jesus. He
has been over here and has been a great help to the family. They were
brothers in so many ways. At this time we do not know what happened
and are awaiting tissue and blood tests that will take 6 to 8 weeks. It is very frustrating and I am constantly racking my brain on what could have happened.
He was walking around getting ready for school and my husband went to
start the car and came back in and found him on the bathroom floor not breathing.
We are trying to cope and get through each day. The costs are enormous.
We will get through this. Again thanks for all the posts. Don't ever take
life for granted.

You know, Merlyne, you're right. I'm an asshole for doing what I did to the account, but I felt playing it and not letting it die was the right thing. Call Ms. Hohmann and talk to her about it; I'm such a horrible friend and an idiot.
