So perchance, I opened IE and typed in www.ffxionline.com to just take a glance at what's happening in the ffxi community. I visit the Ragnarok board to get a glimpse of how things are (pardon my acrimonious attitude) "progressing". Not much has changed since I've left a couple months ago, and I am not bemused that much hasn't changed.
e.g of a typical ragnarok thread.
*Poster* - "This happened, blah blah, and we managed to do this, blah blah, and then this occured, blah blah, so in the end it can be said blah blah, orz.
*Reply1* - (friend of previous poster, either through participation in aforementioned event, or through LS, etc) "Wow, good stuff, it was blah blah, and yeah blah blah, i'm proud of us blah blah
*Reply2* - "You're wasting my time because:
A) You orz, i'm not going to even make an (roxxorz) effort to (pwned!) make this reply comprehensible!
B) I hate your LS/circle of friends, and I'm jealous of what you can do and what i can't (but i will never admit it)
C) I don't like you because you (in reference to the main poster) are Arvy/or a friend of his
D) I feel like changing the topic of the conversation to something completely different because I like to mess things up.

*insert stupid japanese comment/flame/"i know japanese and you don't" comment here. No english translation needed, because I post in english forums in a foreign language because i'm highly intellectual.
*Reply5* - Your LS sux, and mine is the best because we can kill this and that and buy this and that, and this post has no relevance to the actual subject, and my LS is the best! ORZ
*Reply6* - "Insert first and only intelligent remark about the thread here". This is usually the only thing worth reading throughout all the pages and pages of junk that follow.
