Buy or get crafted?

So I dont have the money yet nor a crafter but I think about getting a Haubergeon soon when I have money. But I wonder if I should buy it(1,4mio on Ragnarok) or buy the ingreds and give it to a Gold/Blacksmith that can craft it with a high chance(right day, support etc) to get a HQ craft maybe. The prob is I dont wanna lose my ingreds then so that my farming was for nothing :/ I just wanna know what you did/ would do. I saw in some sig that someone crafted a Haubergeon and traded it then with him.

Edit: I posted this in Ragnarok because maybe someone had experience with something like that on Ragnarok ^-^

I don't know any high level crafter who won't make you charge for HQ synth. Most crafters will just keep the HQ item they just made with your material and buy/make you a new non-HQ version.

But the thing is that you can't go wrong by buying from the AH. I've heard about so many people losing millions from crafters who failed , its really sad.

I'd say just buy it from the AH too, it's not worth the hassle. As recently as a few days ago a friend of mine lost his Venomous Claw in a failed synth and was devestated. If you're really determined to have it synthed you should maybe try Masterasia. He has an hilarious way of charging people too - 100gil x /random. He used to just charged 100k (which, if you rolled a 999, would theoretically be the same) but I guess he wants a little excitement in his life.
