Random shoutout to HNM LS

Knowing full well what our server is like, and what this message board is like, this is a complete shot in the dark here, but here goes anyway....

Basically what this boils down to is I only have about a month or two left of playtime in FFXI. I have accomplished just about everything I set out to do when I started the game. Got a job I liked to 75, entered (and won) Dynamis areas, full AF (and some AF2 pieces to boot), fought lots of NM, and taken up a few crafts for fun and profit on the side.

The problem is - see something missing from this picture? There is one thing that I have never done, and thats fight a HNM of any type. The biggest thing I managed to be a part of killing was Bloodtear Baldruf, and I hardly consider that 'hard' or 'amazing'.

So, here is the deal. I want in on some HNM action. I don't care if they are Celesital Gods, or old school HNM, or whatever...I just want to fight some.

I don't even want any money or drops or anything - I have no need for such things now, with my quitting time looming on the horizon. You have my word that I will not place a single lot on any item dropped. My account is not going to be sold off when I quit, so don't worry about this being a 'get rich quick' scheme or crap like that. I hope my reputation in game speaks for its self, but just in case you don't know me, I feel its important you know that this is just for the fun of the battle, nothing more.

For technical details, I am 75 MNK. I have a full set of +ACC gear for HNM that can be melee, and I have more than enough money to buy a full set of +MND gear for HNM that require Chi Blast (but unless I actually get to fight any, I won't bother wasting money on the MND setup).

Any HNM LS out there willing to show a 75 MNK a good time with some battles before he quits the game?

yeah there's really nothing like chillin at aery a few hours and then watching another LS show up, get the claim and swiftly kill it.

then you can repeat this at behemotdom, garlaige, etc.

I have several LS, but sadly none of them are HNM material. Meatwall is a social LS for the most part and its a blast to be a part of, and of course DCA is a Dynamis only LS. If what Awntawn says is true (and I am inclined to beleive, he has been playing much longer than I have), then perhaps I will stick around for a while longer, assuming I get into some HNM action.

Starting my own? The time isn't great for doing that just yet. In about another month there will be enough fresh meat to make a decently good HNM LS from the next wave of NA/Import players to reach 70+, but for now I would say 90% of us are already grabbed up or way too busy with other things at the moment.

I can't tell you how pleased I am that this has been kept flame free (for now). There is always someone....

I'm trying to rush to high levels (I guess 70+ish) so I can start hunting some HMN's. Only like...20 levels more I guess . It's funny how the game keeps on getting more and more addicted as you get higher leveled >.<

As for myself, I've been racing my ass off just so I could be at the point I've always loved most about MMORPGs (including EQ, DAoC): The endgame.

I'm almost there, but not quite yet.

i agree, give it a month or two then a whole band of new players will be hitting 75, wanting HNM Action. So perhaps it'd be a good idea to start then.
