Is rag seriously one of the overpopulated servers now? Awhile ago people said it wasn't, and that we just thought so because a lot of people from this forum were in it, but most other servers don't have 4 LS's speed-taunting fafnir at work-times JST on a daily basis... I've seen 7 parties in ramps tomb levelling at the same time before... wasn't funny, only 4 parties could actually fight at a time while the others waited for even the "shit that's in the way" to spawn...

I would have to agree, I went to the top of oztroja for a key hunt with 4-5 other people and, I'm not joking there were about 50 people up there, like 8-9 parties. There were no yags anywhere at all, so we went into the High Priest room(yags in there are alot harder), a key party there too. 2 key parties in HP room, there has to be something wrong ><
It just seems that anything you do at any time has at least some competition now. Good for lv up, bad for almost anything else.

Anyways, I personally think we're due for another World Shift. Not that the people on Rag/Lag are bad, but there comes a point when there are too many people doing the same things.

Mmmm my last lvlup party we went to boyahda to fight darters. There were only 5 parties at the area where the NM domokun spawns, and 3 at the processionaire "ramp" area, so we ended up splitting up (all 6 of us, because mp isn't an issue when you're killing one mob every 5 minutes) and just pulling whatever was available. Got like 3k exp (like 2 hours?) and then everyone was like fuck this ...

Ever seen 6 parties in the entrance area of Garlaige trying to level? That redefines "crowded". Plus, it's puller's hell, because there just aren't enough pops for everyone.

Worldshift and a complete stop of immigration for a month would help a lot I guess. In peak times I have seen way over 4600 people online.

Like it or not, its all because of this forum. This site is very popular now, and its where the majority of us vet's play.. the new players see that and 'I want to play with them'.

I personally, w/ broadband and PS2, don't get that much lag. The competition may be frustrating at times, but you gotta admit it would be quite boring without it all. My biggest complaint is the lack of farming and level-up locations, as we don't want competition for this part...

I doubt world shifting would make it any better, cuz everyone wants to world shift and the resulting server ends up worse. I personally vote for new areas to farm/levelup, and new NMs to hunt :/

In short, we're overdue an expansion :p

Don't just blame FFXIonline. GameFAQ started the whole Lagnarok migration. I really wish that SE had created a separate NA servers when the NA PC version came out. As it is, neither the Japanese or English speakers on JP and EN clients are very happy to share the server, in my opinion.

I remember way back when importers couldn't wait for EN version to come out with more English speakers I joined Rag initially because of the importers, but have taken my own path with a Japanese LS.

I noticed this too, and was thinking about it recently. It starts to get a bit irritating when there's competition for everything.

Competition for farming areas..
Competition for popular lvling spots..
Competition for popular gil farming spots..
Competition for coffer key hunting..
Competition for NM hunting..
Competition to get to Shami to trade your seals for orbs.. ;p
and bloody competition for getting to Kraken first just to charm it and have some fun. ;x

You guys wouldn't believe how busy even my bst soloing spots get, lol. But well, that's largely due to many high rank jp bsts.

You almost start to panic because you realise that nearly all money making schemes are already being done. Sure, you can do *something* but it might take a lot longer than usual because of other ppl.
