    Just on this forum

The first importer from here landed on ragnarok, bought world passes and started up a small community which grew and grew. Over time, it became the "main server" of this site community.

Also the name is fucking sexy

I use to be around when this forum had like 200 registered users but only like 50 of them were active. The site admin on this site use to be Ping. I’m not sure what happened to him. Probably real life issues like a job or something. Anyway he flung up a cheap fan FFXI forum site, which became what it is today.

What inspired most the people to go Ragnarok was this. On this forum Ping would post up videos, pictures, journals, ect. of him and his friends on Ragnarok. He inspired a lot of people on how to play FFXI JP by providing information on how to buy the game, how to set up your account if you cant read Japanese, how to configure your computer to run a Japanese game, and of course providing a bunch of World Passes.

The site had like 10 members who originally had the PS2 version and of course they posted up pics and information about the game like quests and configuration issues. The PC version of FFXI rolled along in like October 2002 and that’s when most the people started to flow in. All sources led to ffxionline.com and the site provided perfect information on how to play. Of course since like 95% of the people on the forum were from Ragnarok everyone wanted to get in.

From about October 2002 to October 2003 was when the site just grew and grew with more importers and all of them went to Ragnarok. There were a few exceptions with people on different servers but everyone wanted to be on the same server as everyone else.

If you’re a new person on the forums and you see all the 4039843905802984592 forum topics on Ragnarok that’s why. There were already thousands of posts to begin with before people in America even heard of FFXI and registered at this site. It’s kinda strange but I think you can officially call this place the official Ragnarok English forum/site. I think the Japanese one is 2ch.jp or something.

(sorry for my long posts. I have nothing better to do while waiting for my class to end ; ; )

I like your long posts. I've learnt more in that post than I have since being here.

:dead: also Ragnarok would actually have a few thousand more posts than it does now but a hacker got to the site at around December 2002? and everything had to be reset.
