how do you get help

I recently installed the expansion (about time), and I was looking forward to doing the ninja quest. I found out those korrokola leeches aren't as easy as I though so I needed help. I started to search through a lot of high lvl people I know and the responses was not satisfying.

I know for sure arvy wouldn't help me. The last time I asked him for help was for the beadeux part of m10 and he wanted me to pay him 250k or something like that.

I'm not even gonna try drako.

Lazane was reluctant to help me with my rse when I was lower lvl but I convinced him, at the end, I didn't get my rse after 6 hours of camping a chest.

I gave a /t to mithranmage saying "you know you want to help me with my ninja quest." Her response was "HELL FUCKIN NO" case sensitive.

I gave a /t to chewbacca, he saids "wtf."

I did a shout in jeuno with no responses at all.

People that might've been willing to help me were not on. Some other people were currently occupied and even if they weren't, they probably wouldn't have helped me.

Now, I'm sure every single one of you have gotten help from people that are much higher lvl than you at some point in your ffxi career. I can honestly say, the last time I got help from a high lvl was when I was in neogundan. After that, I had to crawl my way through the game. I wouldn't mind if any of you would volunteer to help me with my nin quest or maybe recommend a few people that would be willing to help me. My impressions on the people listed above other than lazane and possibly drako is not that great.

Most people have friends to help them with things in game.

You'll have an easier time trying to get people who also need to participate as opposed to people who will donate their time with litte to no return.

This is also dependent on your definition of "Know"ing a person...
"Know"ing is not just "PT'd with them before" or "Heard their name mentioned before" or any other vague circumstance...

Many people get upset by the fact that someone equates knowing 'of' them and actually knowing them...

well I know lazane and I've met arvy for quite a while. Chewbacca was also on an ls I was on previously. The only person up there that I don't really know is mithranmage... Doing things like genkai with a full party of people that need the same item is impossible. There has to be people in the party that has already completed it and was willing to help with little to no return.

Be careful with Mo...
he's died a number of times trying to help people because of somethin' stupid, like, Mages forgetting to heal (trust me, I've been an eye witness a few times)...
His fuse has gotten a little short as of recent XD...

wow thanx for the overwhelming advices guys. I really appreciate all your help. At the end, I asked xile and he helped me without any hesitation. Shortly afterwards, both jingo and siya gave me a /t offering help. Big thanx to them and all of you that's offered help. At least now I now who to ask for help in the future. Thanx.

I would have liked to help. A good proportion of fun in the game can be found through helping others I think.

I have only ever seen one person shouting to arrange something like this instead of begging for high level help so I decided to give him high level help. I could go off on some rant that we all know is the reason for this but it would only lead to a pointless flame war.
