Nasheru, Rdm/Nin and his uberness

Anyone ever seen this bad boy an action? I had that honor a few nights ago. He was soloing anemit. Let me tell ya, and anyone that was there can atest to this, we was ALL over it. He solo'ed it down to about 1/4 its life before reinforcements arrived from his LS. Up until then, he had full life the entire time. However oddly enough, it wasn't until other people arrived when he started taking hits... maybe he was talking to them or something lol. Anyways, he used 2 hour, chainspell, which works on ninjitsu apparently. Re-buffed, cured up, ThunderIII and a few more hits, and anemit was no more.

It was really something impressive to see, and shows the extreme versatility of the once USELESS rdm, as well as just how overpowered a ninja sub can be (75/37, had blink2). Normally you would think Rdm/Nin, wow that sucks. I think normally it would be, because when he WAS hit by anemet, one hit took 1/3 of his life almost. So no way he could tank any of the heavy hitters this way.. same as regular ninjas almost. One slipup and your history. However when soloing, fairly regular monsters, it seems to be uber.

The most impressive part of the fight was the way nasheru handled his gear. He was constantly switching from vermillion, to his AF, to casting gear, to melee gear. He has EVERYTHING covered apparently.

He's used to it, he tanks Roc, Simurgh, Serket, etc for his LS.

I’ve seen him in action but I think what he does just “makes him look more cool” than he really is. He acts exactly like a bard does yet he’s an rdm. As bard change their instrument for almost every song they play, he was doing the same thing with all of his spells. Dark staff when doing dark magic, Light staff when healing, Water staff when doing like enfeeble magic, ect. He would also change to a 1h sword and a dagger. He changed weapons about every 1-2 hits. Yeah this may be spiffy I think it’s a tad overkill. I would assume using the TP you get to do that special WS for uber damage or maybe a MP return WS would be more useful than loosing your TP just so you spells can be 1-5% more “effective.” I can understand changing to Light staff for curing yourself but changing to a different weapon every 1-2 hits sounds like more looking pretty than being pretty to me. Ex. Dagger 2 hits, 1h sword 2 hits, Dagger 2 hits, 1h sword 2 hits. Is there really a point to that?
