Set Party, 2 Members Needed

Hey guys im from ragnarok and me and some RL friends are starting a Set Party (hopefully ^^) for our Advanced jobs, We already have 2 paladins, a samurai. Also my other friend cant decide if he wants to go whm or smn, but im pretty sure he's goin smn. But yeh anyways, thats 4 people and we need 2 more, A Whm would be nice and probably a blm. Also we are just starting our ADV jobs , so if someone just wants to create a WHM or BLM for whatever reasons, thats fine, we are only lvl 5 as of now. But anyways enough of me ramblin on, just post a reply or send me a /t to Lockke in game. ^^ thanks guys cya around hopefully.

Before the bot gets here, let me recommend you rethink "two paladins." It won't work, it'll slow you down, and its just not worth the pain. Furthermore, let me recommend you rethink "smn", as, unless he gets ahold of summons past carbuncle, it won't work out.

a set party would need a brd and rdm after lvl 40, and before lvl 30, a pld is another melle, so, that config can be good till around lvl 30, but after that.... the config should change...

Could yah tell me why 2 pallys would slow me down? What is suppose to be the perfect party? I mean we arent tryin to make the perfect party.... we are just 4 RL friends tryin to lvl up together... but i mean im sure some of us are willin to change for the better of the party. Ok to explain, paladins make good tanks but have horrible damage output. There's little/no reason to have two in a normal exping part, as the non-tank one will basically be dead weight in a fight. To be quite honest, a whm who meleed would be more useful.

The summoner is another dead weight situation. Unless your summoner has some summons that aren't carbuncle, which I doubt, he's not going to be much help. If he can manage to get higher level summons he'd be good, but otherwise pretty useless.

I'd like to start ranger, which is level 1. I'm filthy rich and have war21 and nin30 subjobs. If you switch one of the plds and the smn to a more suitable job, I could boss you guys around and get us some sexy exp.

Here's your ideal party setup.

melee:
1. tank (nin/war, pld/war, even war/mnk will do)
2. backup tank (nin/war, war/mnk)
3. damage dealer (rng, drk, sam, drg, thf, etc.)

mages:
1. whm/blm
2. rdm/blm (or rdm/whm)
3. brd/whm

You could switch out the rdm for a blm, but... keep in mind that refresh and dispel are too sexy to pass up.

But yeh anyways just to update for ya'll, i took your advice and we now have a Pally, Drk, Sam, Brd, Whm, Blm

I hope that'll work out, but yeh we're not greatly concerned about getting lvl 75 in a week, just tryin to have fun with the game with my friends, thanks for suggestions guys, tell me what yah think of this group.

Also, when i get around lvl 30 with my sam, im switchin over to ranger, btw.

I'd actually take BLM over RDM if there's a bard. BLM is too damn good, MB damage is simply too godly to pass up. At lower levels, WHM is more of a necessity, but at upper ranges I'd happily sub in RDM for WHM, as long as there's a BLM. Also, if there's a RDM and BLM, another BLM may even be more beneficial than bard. Can't underestimate black magic. Attack power doubles with each new level of spell, the higher the levels get, the more deadly BLM becomes. The key to getting high chains is a BLM.

Anyways, your new combo will work like a dream considering everyone's got the right subs and none of your mages are galkas (lol). Good luck in your adventuring ^^

Bah Awntawn, there's nothing wrong with Galka mages. Technically bard is a mage, and at 43 I have more MP than any other bard of a different race that I've seen. Been raising my whm sub recently as well, and I continually seem to beat out every other race but taru because I have *gasp* updated gear.

And yes, I know I'm ignoring the long term where the deficiciency will become blatantly obvious. Can't I be happy for a little while dammit? *cries*
