  • BC60 Giddeus, any takers? Advice?

Any group of misfits can take on the quads. I've heard the drops aren't as good for giddeus as they are in palborough, but frankly I'm just looking for some fun and challenge frolicking with the yags. I was thinking of doing this on October 24 or 25, afternoon~evening PST. Any takers? Advice is welcome too, such as battle tactics, things to watch out for, killing order, prepartions, etc?

Requirements: Not much on very demanding on requirements, just a few traits that I'm sure everyone can understand.

    - Adequate BCNM60 experience (at least palborough), both wins and losses (hopefully more wins, but some losses too so you know what mistakes not to make again).

    - The ability to admit your own faults. If a BC is lost due to an individual, it is more productive to admit the mistake and learn from it than to be a stubborn ass and cause the whole party to die 3 more times.

    - A levelled sub. Though it may not make that much of a difference mechanically, an unlevelled sub gives quite a clear indication of your playing style.

    - A sturdy connection is required; we don't want DC's. Knowing that my PC is somewhat crash-prone, I will be sacrificing visual enjoyment and be playing on my PS2.

    - Your own orb. No leeching :p

    - All of the equipment/spells that you're expected to have (as in, not gimp). This means sniper rings for meleers, raise2 for whm, refresh and dispel for rdm, etc. Novelties that you're NOT expected to have but are real nice anyway include phalanx, erase, ƒz?[ƒo?[ƒWƒ‡ƒ“, etc.

Please post here your ingame name, race, job and sub job levels if you're interested, and leave some space in your PM box. I'll PM you back if you're in. Please understand that if you're not accepted, it does not imply that I think your skill is bad. There can only be 6 people, and job compatability as well as acquaintance are very important aspects as well.

I was hoping for the party setup of DRK WAR RNG RDM WHM BRD or something similar (no biggie though), but I've never done yags before and am not sure how well it'll work without a PLD and all. All I know is that that's the best level up party config I've ever had :D

Loot policies we can decide later. So far, here are some options:

    A) Pool all (sell everything and split money)
    B) Each person keeps what they get
    C) Each person keeps their best 2 drops, pool the rest

    Current Roster:
    1. DRK (Sub WAR or THF)
    2.
    3.
    4.
    5.
    6.
    DRK75 / THF37 / WAR37 / RDM60 / BLM31 / PLD11
