Hi all~
After wasting countless hours waiting for random PTs (especially if you are typically on morning JP time). I was wondering if anyone would be interested in forming an all-english, fixed PT designed to meet at specified times to level and have fun.
From some conversations i had with few people, I know there are people who like this idea, and I think it can work very well - no waste of time looking for PT, no need to speak japanese, and to truly enjoy the game as it was meant to be.
Of course, the PT would need to be well-balanced to really power-level (I think i know the best leveling spots for each level up to lv50, and I can guarantee that we will be getting 200+ chains everytime, if everyone stays on the same level).
These would be the basic guidelines (subject to change after the PT is formed of course).
- Meet maybe 3 times a week (or more if desired) during U.S. EST night time (can be flexible on weekends), committed to level for at least 2 hours.
- One should not obviously level ahead by joinining other PTs, or miss meetings to fall behind in levels - in such event, the member would have to be replaced.
- We will start from Lv.11. So choose a job, solo until you hit lv11 (which should not be difficult) then post your name/job here.
The PT setup will be as follows:
3 frontliner, 3 support
the general setup being something like the following:
1. PLD or WAR
2. SAM or DRG or WAR or MNK or BST
3. THF or DRK or RNG or NIN
4 WHM or RDM
5. BLM or RDM
6. SMN or RDM or BRD
(of course, depending on who is interested, the makeup of the PT will change, but the general idea is to have one primary tanker, an "all-arounder" and a specialized attacker, or some combination thereof (2 "all-arounder" + 1 attacker, 1 tanker + 2 attacker, etc))
The only thing I would ask if someone decides to play ranger or ninja for this fixed PT is that they are not afraid of spending gil - we will not take ninja who uses no ninjutsu or ranger who uses subpar equipments :p
I am willing to play as either PLD, WHM or BLM, depending on who signs up. If we can get 6 interested people, I am hoping to start this by sometime next week.

p.s. For the benefit of others, it would be best if people who view this as a long-term project signs up, instead of those who are trying to quickly gain few levels and never return.
p.s2 Please note that this will NOT consume all your FFXI playing time. I, for one, will try to level my ranger at the same time (among other things), so you shouldn't view this as an end to all your other life in FFXI.

I can play ALL during the weekends, but I have school during the week and sports so i'll try to fit in if I can. I have a DRK level 8 (Go for level 11 if you need me to) and any other job you want as a sub I can get. But get Ty over me
