  • Need help traveling from Wind to Sandoria

Hi, I was wondering if there is a high level character out there who would be willing to take me (lvl 5 Monk at the moment) from Windhurst to Sandoria. I'm too weak to make it on my own and I was wondering if someone would take me there, or at least as far as Jeuno. Thanks and I appreciate any help! Here are ways to reach me if you could help:

    send a /tell to Ekawa

    E-mail: mda5535@rice.edu

    Thanks again^^

You're never too weak to get from Windurst to San d'Oria. Even level 1 players can do it. You've just got to learn how to be stealthy, and it helps to have the right maps.

Really?!?! If I wanted to get the maps from Wind all the way to Sandoria, how would I do that? I don't know where to buy them. Can it really be done? Going that far by just avoiding monsters? I'm not a theif so I cant run very fast. Any advice would be great! Thanks again^^

It is enough if you just buy the basic Windurst, San d'Oria and Bastok maps (300g each?). These will let you see maps for land that those countries control - dungeons excluded.

The route you will take is Sarutabaruta - Tahrongi - Buburimu - Mhaura, then take boat to Selbina - Valkurm - La Theine - Ronfaure - San d'Oria. If you have thief job, you should be able to use your radar to avoid monsters too

Awesome, I think I will give it a try! I have a few questions though:

          1) Where exactly can I buy the maps? Can I buy them all from Windhurst before I leave?
2)This boat that I need to take....do I need Gil for that as well and is there a lvl restriction for the boat?
          3) I am a lvl 6 Monk right now. Can I switch my job to theif so that I can use that radar ability you mentioned (seeing monsters on the radar)?

Again, your help is greatly appreciated^^

One more question, hehe: Will there be homepoints along the way so if I DO die, then I dont get reset all the way back at Windhurst?

            lesse, from windurst:

            1.east sarutabaruta
            2.tahrongi
3.buburimu (there is a Home Point here at the outpost)
4.mhaura (there is a crystal to set HP here as well. the boat will cost you 100 gil and no, you don't have any lvl requirements. however, stay bellow deck just in case something... happens^^)
            5.selbina (crystal for HP here)
            6.valkurm (outpost here for HP)
            7.la theine
8.west ronfaure (HP can be set right after you leave la theine)
            9.sandoria

that's basically what jonnyram said with a little more info... in anycase... if im free give Vivid a tell and i can escort you from valkurm to sandoria free of charge.

                I did it

I created a new Taru character in windurst bc i wanted the ring but i wanted to be in san so i walked from windurst to san. Helpful hint when walking in tahrongi and places like that, stick to the roads bc they are usually safer.

Yeah I was able to make it ok. I died three times to goblins on the way there and also 1 time on the boat. I was trying to fish up there and then a got killed by a sea monster...lol I was being careless.
Also, I have 1 question. Is it possible to trade the kingdom rings? I couldn't seem to do it but I did see someone 1 time who had a windhurst ring and a sandoria ring equipped simultaniously.....can anyone explain that????

You can't trade rings because they're EX items. However, it's possible to obtain the rings if you are rank 3 and have enough conquest points to buy it from the signet guards.

What the person did was probably start off in his/her kingdom to get the first ring, then half way through the game the person switched kingdoms, got to rank 3, and bought the second nation's ring.
